Likes
- Our course is so good that even NLU approaches our university for the updates that we make.
- The campus is so huge that even though we have close to 5k students in the university, finding a peaceful place is still not tough.
- It is often said that crowd makes a college and if that's the case ICFAI Dehradun wins to ne the best private universities in India as crowd ke that good.
Dislikes
- Lesser number of events that ideally a university should have and this is where it's a red flag otherwise all green.
Course Curriculum Overview
Influence would be a negative word in my books as I chose this course because Iove legal studies. Courts and everything enticed me more than a computer lab as I can't sit on a desk and do coding all day long. Most students from my school went for engineering and are doing this while I enjoy the action. Exams duration is short as we have back to back exams be it mid-semesters or the end semester exams, I think a little break is required in between the exams.
Placement Experience
Major corporate would be Bajaj Capital and other NBFCs, last year EXIM bank also added as they took 14-15 students and majorly it's the law firms that helps us get jobs. It's a dream to work for top litigation firms like the Tatva Legal, Luthra and Luthra and others and ICFAI Dehradun provides that opportunity.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees at ICFAI University Dehradun is pretty low as it's just 65000 a semester and yearly if I have to say it's 130k. We can also avail scholarships of we get good CGPA and topper every year gets a 50% scholarship. The university main building has a desk allocate for knowing the scholarships that the university has.
Campus Life
Law Fests is our fest and 2 days Law Sanskriti events has the best of debates and currently they war on war situation. It was one hell of a debate as top judges were invited to choose the winners. A true paradise for sports lovers as sporting facilities at our university are of another level.
Admission
I wanted ICFAI Dehradun and I got that with flying colours. 12th score, CLAT score and an interview. So, all three factors are considered and I was good in all three and therefore I was among the first few students in 2023 to qualify for law program at ICFAI University Dehradun.
Faculty
Faculties do need special mention and one of them would be Arvind Bisht as he himself has worked as a high court lawyer. Not does he teaches well but also helps students to get the best internships as well. Exams difficulty level is high but still our teachers teaches us so well that passing percentage is over 90% every semester.
