Course Curriculum Overview

The college provides easy curriculum activities and that's why I choose this civil course. The teaching course which teaches in class comes in semester that helps us. Semester is of 60 marks and practical is 100 marks and 40 marks for assignment. So overall it's all good .

Class Size: 136Course Fees: INR 28700 per year

Internships Opportunities

Here in our college internship period is 2 months for 3rd students and 1 month for 2nd year and give place to live while doing internship. Rasmi group is the best company come which gives good package of 7 pakh and TCS gives 8 lakh. So overall stipend is also good.

Placement Experience

Placement cell is very good in this college , in monthly basis 2 to 3 companies come . Like - lnt, adani , mittal and different good construction company come which give good package and best expreince in company.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total yearly fees - 28700 which includes Tution fees - 12000 Development fee -7000 Lab fees - 1500 Student activities -1500 Site visit - 600 Training and placement - 5000 Internet fee - 1000 Ssg - 100 This fees is for civil,electrical, mechanical branch For Tfw student total fees is 16700 Scholarship like e-medhabruti-10000/year, post metric scholarship - 46000/year

Campus Life

Campus lyf is very best , here function is very good and different celebrity also come, place is situated in hilly area so environment is nycc and here different clubs like umid , siksha etc present which help in students to show their interest in other field also.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is well and it is 5 storage building with good venteleted room . Here food quality is also good and gives 3 times in daily basis. Registration process and money charge for hostel is quite negotiable.

Hostel Fee: INR 46000 per year

Admission

I choose this college because education facility is good and ragging is less as compare to other colleges. It is also near to my house so I prefer this college. I tried other colleges but due to my low score in jee I studied here.

Faculty

The faculties are quiet niece and helpful. Ritwik sir is the best faculty I like most because he is always helpful and make understand concept thoroughly. Anwesa madam is the faculty I didn't like because she didn't make us understand thoroughly. There are 8 semesters and 16 internals are there and it's moderate but 5th and 6th semester is quite difficult. Mostly around 30 students failed to clear it. Course curriculum is quite good .

Honest Opinion in the college

Placement Experience:

There are internship opportunities at the starting of 3rd year and job opportunities at the starting or 4th year. This year many companies visited the campus which include DE Shaw, Flipkart, Oracle, TCS, VISA(for summer internship drive), and various start-ups like Sarvam AI and many more. Highest package was 56.8LPA by DE Shaw. Flipkart took a total of 20 candidates (12 were selected for 34.5LPA and 8 for internship opportunities). Average package going around 9LPA. TCS mass recruited candidates for around 4 LPA, and ORACLE has been consistent at taking candidates for 24 to 25 LPA. Percentage of Students placed for CSE branch is 90. Many students opt for M Tech courses via GATE exam after getting their degree.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

The course and curriculum is nice as they are interelated to each other and encourage us to study more and makes us more curious to learn new things but we have some minor course which I don't think it is required for the course and we only have some credits for that course not even exam is being conducted

The excellent university of odisha

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government college but provides much more facilities like private colleges.

In odisha we have a specific counselling procees named as OJEE counselling. In this we have to apply for many colleges as we want. I chose this college for this particular branch . Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
