Likes
- The university operates in such a low fees and that's a novelty for every student that studies here.
- Facilities are at par with all the NLUs or top private law colleges like the Symbiosis Law School and the Christ Law College.
- Sports facilities are also awesome as Dehradun weather is best to play outdoor sports and ICFAI University Dehradun have the best possible sporting facilities facilitated at our campus.
Dislikes
- Definitely the balance between studies and other activities is a big mismatch as we don't have much activities at the college and therefore all we are left with is to study and finish the assignments.
Course Curriculum Overview
Law is an influence course and therefore i didn't look at any other influence. Our syllabus is at par or should I say is better than most NLUs. I have friends in MNLU Nagpur and when I looked at their course content, I was like ours is much better and hence no change and rather I won't mind if it is updated even further.
Placement Experience
Top law firms from Indus Law to Khaitan all have made sure that ICFAI Dehradun students get an opportunity to work for them. Hence among law firms they are our top recruitment firms and from corporate it's fintech companies such as Bajaj Finance and Muthoot Finance among others who have recruited studnets from our university in huge numbers.
Fees and Financial Aid
At ICFAI Dehradun fees can never be an issue as EWS (Economic Weaker Section) students gets scholarship where they dont have to pay a single penny if they qualify on merit. I thought had to pay 117k a year as I got just 10% scholarship as inwas ranking below 10k in CLAT rankings.
Campus Life
Sports lovers can have a time of their lives as we have every possible sporting facilities be it basketball, volleyball or football and cricket. Conditioning coaches are also deployed and therefore students can play with ease at the university. UTSAV our annual fest may not be the most followed or the best fest but for us it gave us a different kind of novelty because we anyways don't have much activities otherwise.
Admission
Every CLAT aspirants top choice is NLSIU or NLUO among others. However, once I missed out on NLUs, I decided to search the top private universities and ICFAI as per ranking and placements is the top university. Clat rankers up to 20k ranks are accepted at the university and students below 10k rank are also awarded scholarships and I was among one of those students.
Faculty
Faculties are pristine as their style is flawless and the kind of degrees and experience they hold is immaculate too. Spotless way of treating all the students and besides that making our subjects looks easy. Law is tough and especially when you have exams twice in a four and a half months semester and besides that monthly assignments too take its toll.
