- The beautiful sports ground at the campus is my favourite sport as I spend my evenings.playing football or cricket over there.
- Hostle of the university is a gem as we never felt homesick or even missed home staying at the hostels.
- Moot competitions every month and that gives us a real motivation to work hard.
Dislikes
- University is too far from the town and therefore finding a transport post 7pm is a real deal here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Many lawyers and law students whom I knew have inspired me to take this course. However it was my own decision and then I calculated the fees and all and the job prospects of that particular college or university. Our curriculum prepared us in a way that we can enter litigation right after our college. So, college don't make us a lawyer who can contribute through a job but can start his own practice is how our curriculum prepares us.
Placement Experience
After entering the 9th semester where we just have a couple of subjects. So studies pressure is less and we can concentrate on firms that comes to the campus for placements. Only a few students fail to get campus placements as otherwise getting placed at ICFAI Dehradun is like a stroll in the park.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees at ICFAI Dehradun is half or even less than what NLUs and other private colleges or universities charges in India. I have to pay 130k a year and besides that 2000 was registration fees which was paid while taking the admissions. A security deposit of 10k is charged which is refundable. Various state and central scholarship programs are available at ICFAI Dehrsduna and for SC/ST category students the fees is somewhat 70k.
Campus Life
UTSAV is our cultural annual fest and Law Kriti is fest that students of our department has to organize. So along with law management skills are also honed this way. The cricket or the multipurpose ground is the best facility of the campus and besides that it's our gardens and the blocks that sets a different vibe altogether.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels have two seater and three seater rooms. The washrooms are common but are in numbers and therefore it isn't tough to find a place as and when required. Hostels also has two mess and we are feedee four times in a day. From morning breakfast to dinner everything is sever at the message.
Admission
Fees was something that made me choose this college as in such a low fees, and the kind of opportunities and quality education that, ICFAI Dehradun provides, it became so easy for me to choose this university. Admissions are done ont he basis of entrance score and then a small interviews session. Those who clear these two things are easily admismtted here.
Faculty
Some of the finest and experienced faculties are put together by the university so that we get to learn the law in a best possible way. Though unlike every single faculty who has taken classes Professor Ram Lohia is indeed one of the best as security law which is one of the most difficult subject, he made it look so easy.
