Course Curriculum Overview

4

VIT has a exact overview over the current world trend and they change their courses topics acc to the current generation. They also give the freedom to the students to choose their subjects to learn . Each subject has about 40 hours of teaching per semester and may vary accordingly. It has been said that the odd semesters are easy and even semesters are tough . So I would say to provide equal time to evey semester

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for internships from 5 or 6th semester acc to their respective courses.. placements starts in the middle of 8th semester and many international and MCS vist vit for placements.. the highest package is 90lpa. Avg placement is around 10lpa . Almost 80 - 90 % vit students are placed.. My plan is to finish my masters in IIT and then look out for job

Fees and Financial Aid

So the tution fees for vit is based on the ranks obtained from VITEEE and based on the rank categories are split into 5 Category 1 gets 1.5lakhs Category 2 gets 2 lakhs Category 3 gets 3 lakhs Category 4 gets 4 lakhs Category 5 gets 4.5 lakhs Diffent courses have different ranks with their respective categories

Campus Life

4

VIT's environment is so beautiful and diverse. Events are conducted in daily basis where it is about entertainment, information, education etc.., they conduct India's biggest tech fest GRAVITAS and cultural event RIVERIA and ngl they spend a lot of money and effort making these events a huge success.. VIT library is one of the best libraries I have ever seen .. They contain many books and are properly divided into categories and it has AC facility, Toilets, well lit environment. VIT also give more importance to sports.. the sports facilities in VIT is amazing and vit had won several medals in state competitions.. There are a total of around 130 clubs in vit giving each individual student more opportunities and experience

Hostel Facilities

4

There are many different room types from 2,4,6,8 bedded rooms each have non AC and AC.. the rooms are big and well furnished. The registration process is done through the VIT websites which we apply for courses.. and the hostels are quite pricy than expected but they are great for the price. The hostel food experience is not the best and not the worst .. they have a variety of foods suitable for all types of students..

Admission

It has really good placement packages, it is tamilnadu's 3rd best college, it has better hostel facilities than other colleges .vit also has one of the best teaching experience in India and as per my experience from vit it is true

Faculty

4

The faculties are interactive and easily understandable.. For as the exam pattern in a semester there are 3 exams known as CAT1,CAT2,FAT CAT 1(Cumulative assessment test 1) is a 50mark exam and has 15 marks as total weightage CAT 2 (Cumulative assessment test 2) is a open book test and it is also a 50marks exam and has 15marks as total weightage FAT(Final Assessment Test) is an exam of 100 marks and has a weightage of 40 marks The remaining 30 marks consists of internals where it consists of Quizes,Digital Assignments etc..,

The placement and the package in this current year is less when compared to previous years. This is due to the more admissions in computer science field and more employees are there.the highest package is 12L/yr . 18% of students will get placed. My plan is to start private construction agency.

There is no good roads to our college. As there is a good and excellent hostel mess with sufficient seating arrangement. There is bus service to each and every corner. As the drawbacks are there no separate playground for cricket and hockey.
