This is the only industry where people get groomed up learn about time management and how to deal with people. And IIHM prepare you for all sorts of thing deal with real life situation real world operations. I have friends in other hotel management college and what I got to know from them is that the lesson which we are getting from IIHM are far better then any other hotel management college. The difficult level of the exam is not at all high. If you attend the classes you can pass in the exam.

IIHM is full of events it is full of life. Weekly we have event in the college this makes the student more open social and extrovert in real life. Our library is fully air condition and large stock of books and journal. Our classrooms are very big enough to accommodate 100 students it is air condition fully decorated lighting is very good looks like a 5 star hotel itself. There is no clubs or something like that in our college everyone is together senior junior all takes place and enjoy events together we all work together as one.

Admission

As I was already sure about IIHM so I never applied in any other college. The admission process of IIHM in that you need to sit for an online multiple choice question exam and after that you will have to sit for an personal interview with a faculty of IIHM where they will ask some simple questions about yourself nothing critical and after all this you will receive an admission letter saying you got selected.

Faculty

5

The faculties are very much friendly and helpful towards their students. Well educated trained and much experienced professionals teach students here. They are very much Frank with their student and everyone can go and approach them. The name of the faculty that is my personal favourite is a teacher from front office department. There are many other teachers that are my favourite. Their behaviour there politeness makes them favourite to their students. The faculties in IIHM are very much kind. There are 6 semester total in 3 years of the course and generally students do not fail the exam. Attendance is very much compulsory in IIHM if you attend every classes you will pass exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
