Course Curriculum Overview

4

Lovely professional university offers a curriculum that is both relevant and comprehensive, balancing academic rigor with industry aligned practical skills. One of the key aspects that influenced my decision to choose LPU was its focus on integrating emerging technologies and real world applications into the courses.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships provided by the college are quite good. The companies come for the internship opportunities for the students. They need to go through different interviews, tests, coding round, aptitude round etc to get selected.

Placement Experience

5

Placements at lovely Professional University are strong point, with students becoming eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, depending on the program. the university has a dedicated placement cell that collaborates with top tuer companies like amazon, cognizant, capgemini, infosys etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearwise tuition fees for computer science and engineering is 1,52,000rs because i got 1st category scholarship of 48000rs for every semester so my fees per semester is 76000rs and yearly 1,52,000rs. There is a lpunest exam in which i got the first category scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Lovely Professional University offers a dynamic campus life, enriched by a variety of social, cultural, and academic opportunities. The campus boasts a wide array of student run clubs and societies focused on technology, performing arts, entrepreneurship, and more fostering collaboration and leadership among students.

Hostel Facilities

3

I live in hostel which is 1lakh per year. I had opted for hostel mess in the first year of college. It was quite good. There are 7 different menus weekly which repeats in every week. The food is good and healthy.

Admission

The admission process at LPU is straightforward and based on eligibility criteria such as minimum scores in 12th grade and competitive exams like LPUNEST, JEE MAINS, or similar tests depending in the program LPUNEST is preferred by most students as it not only serves as an admission criterion but also offers scholarships.

Faculty

4

The relationship between the students and teachers is quite good. There are too many exams conducted per semester like class assessments(class tests, projects, viva, presentations), mid terms and end terms and also practicals.

Over a crore package too have been inked form LPU, CSE and that itself is more than enough to justify my call to Study here. Highest package was of 1.03 crores and average still stands at 8 lakhs around. The big thing is nearly 2500 students in CSE and still all are finding a shot to try for placements.

Mid cap to large cap, every company that can afford our students services are invited to our university for hiring students. Thus far nearly 500 organizations have been invited to our university and a good bit of placements percentage is also there. No students of our university recruited have come under fire and therefore the companies which have laid faith in LPU students have kept hiring year after year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

But still there can't be any assurance of placement as of now untill our batch get placed successfully

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. I am happy that students from here have got the opportunity to work in their dream companies and soon I will be giving interviews as I am also in my final year now.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
