Course Curriculum Overview
Our college updates our curriculum every year so that we can catch up with today's fast world and get good placement. Our curriculum is more focused on the semiconductor and AI industries, as they both are spreading fast and there is more competition. Our course is almost perfect for me. We have to give exams after every 2 months. I don't feel that exams are that hard; if you studied well, then you can score well.
Internships Opportunities
We are supposed to be taking an internship for 3 years. Our college provides so many internship offers. Companies like TCS, Infosys,... and others come to give internships. They pay a stipend based on our performance. The average stipen is 10,000 Rs. The main reason to do an internship is to know what market is actually needed and how to work in a company.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, students can apply for campus placement. So many tech and finance companies come to give placement in our college, like TCS, Infosys, JP Morgan, and the list goes on. The highest package offered is 38 L.P.A. by JP Morgan to 4 students. Almost 70% of students get placed. After getting my degree, I would love to try in the startup industry; in fact, I have so many ideas.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our university takes ?124500 as tuition fees every semester. ?3000 as university enrolment fees, which is non-refundable. It also takes ?3000 as library deposit and ?10000 as security deposit, which both are refundable. We pay ?140500 every semester, of which ?13000 is refundable.
Campus Life
Generally, in October, our annual technical festival takes place called Tesseract. We have so many libraries on our campus where you can find almost every book. Our classrooms are fully air-conditioned with projectors, and every student has their own personal charging point. Apart from studying, our college also provides facilities for sports. We have so many grounds on campus. We also have sports competitions every year. We also have so many different clubs and committees in our college.
Hostel Facilities
We get separate high-speed wifi for each room. We also get room cleaning and laundry facilities every day. We get breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner in our mess. The quality is not that bad and not so good. You can at least eat the food. Our hostel is worth the price.
Admission
I also applied to Nirma University. I got there admission in the Electronics and Communication department, but I want admission in computer science, so I chose Pandit Deendayal Energy University over Nirma University. I also applied for NITs, but admission criteria of 75% in boards got me rejected. In my college, you can get admission through online mode. The eligibility criteria is changed every year, so you have to check the official website for eligibility. Our college accepts the Jee main score and the Gujaratcet score, and you can get admission through ACPC counselling.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1 faculty to ten students. Each faculty is nice to all students except some of the faculty members. Brijesh sir is more like our mentor than teacher. His teaching method is so different. We have Mayank sir, who teaches us physics. His lecture is a bit boring, but his teaching is also good. We have two exams each semester; one is midsem exams and the other is endsem exams. Overall, paper is easy. If you prepare well for the exam, then you can score well.
