CGU INSIGHTS

From a young age, I have been fascinated by computers, which sparked my interest in pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. This field allows me to understand how various processes are coded and executed. Regarding the curriculum, while it provides a moderate level of preparation for real-life applications, I believe incorporating more industry-relevant topics that are in high demand would better equip us for professional challenges. In terms of assessments, we have mid-semester exams, typically held one and a half months after the start of the semester, and end-semester exams at the conclusion. Additionally, we have monthly quizzes that help track our progress throughout the semester.

Students at 4th year are eligible for campus placements . Last year Accenture and multiple startups visited our college, overall average package was about 3-4 laks . About 50 percent students gets placed either on or off campus. My aim is to get a placement in company after the degree.

Yearly I pay 175000 per year(2022 batch) but for students from 2023 it's 225000. Along with course fee my hostel charges are 95000 for a 3 bed room. Additionally we need to pay 3000 as exam registration fee per semester.

We have CELEGANCE this is the annual college function held it consists of cultural events along with tech fests. I would say sports culture is not as per standard of the college. Though we have small tournaments .

I would say hostel rooms are fine , cupboards are provided along with a table a chair, a bed and cushion for bed but hostel management persons are not of supportive nature . Mess meal is of poor quality. We pay 95000 for a three bed room mess charge is included. If u rent a pg outside the campus it would be around 6 to 7 thousand for 2bhk.

I applied for different colleges in odisha like kiit,iter but at last I choose cgu as rest were expensive as per my financial conditions , At cgu we have addmission through jee rank and through cget rank that is conducted by cgu itself.

At CV Raman Global University, we are fortunate to have a highly supportive faculty that employs interactive teaching methods to enhance our learning experience. Last semester, I had the privilege of being taught by Debendra Muduli Sir, who guided me through Java, and Mamta Waqh Ma'am, who taught Design and Analysis of Algorithms (DAA). Both of them demonstrated exceptional teaching skills, being interactive and supportive in nature, which greatly contributed to my understanding of the subjects. We have 2 exams in a semester mid sem and end sem . Passing ratio is like 6:10
