Likes

Campus is good, Very big and nothing to complain about
Faculty is really good if you choose them wisely which you can do through ffcs system that the college provides
The college has centralized placements which means all major companies visit here and you get enough opportunities

Dislikes

Sometimes the administration is strict and is ignorant of students needs
A lot of restrictions, we arent allowed to go out without taking the permission of a lot of people
We are not allowed to roam in the campus after 6 pm which is really annoying

Course Curriculum Overview

We are allowed to choose certain course from the second year which is nice but other than that it teaches what other colleges do. You have to study on your own to develop skills if you want to be placed in a good company

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 201000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are multiplw categories based on your rank. Category 1 costs 2lakhs, cat 2 costs 3 lakhs, cat 3 costs 4 lakhs and so on. Hostel fees depends on the type of rooms you choose. For boys the options mainly are premium and non premium. Which have further sub categories of Ac and Non Ac and 2,3,4, bedded and so on

Campus Life

Events happen every now and then. Although not as grand as other colleges but not to bad either. No freshers party is a bummer but other than that we have all festivels celebrated and is pretty fun if you like that kind of stuff

Admission

The name itself holds a lot of value. VIT has a good brand value and is a pretty well known college which helps when considering placements and jobs. It provides a lot more exposure when compare to other private counterparts

Faculty

FFCS system is provided here which allows you to choose the teachers you like which is really a plus point. Teachers are really good as far as my experience goes. If you dont like someone you can change them with the help of your proctor. a single classroom has 70 students which is not that bad.

After 6th semester you will Elligble for in campus placement and their are many internship and placement providing apps which are connected with our college like Internshala and our college also has own incubation center where students can brings their startup ideas and if they like your startup they will invest on it and student also got chance to get internship on that and got certificate and highest package is of 1.2 cr off campus and Average pacakge is of 5 to 6 lpa and their is basically 85 to 90% placement rate and my plan is to become ai ml engeener and grow in AI area

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

Placement Experience:

there are not much chances of placement as the student strength has increased drastically, students become eligible for placement from 3rd year, also as per the documentations there are more than 12z companies like hcltech, microsoft etc but not every documentation is correct so the chances of getting placed at campus is significantly low so i am planning to pursue higher studies and opting for gate

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
