My review on my college

The specific aspect in which I chose my course is because I want to work in office jobs and most of the jobs relevant to the course pays a good sum of money.The curriculum prepares you alot for real world applications but of course not all of them as different courses teach you different things in life .The area which might need improvement is the choice that we have on choosing our minor or major subjects and I think the college should include more options.There is usually an internal test followed by an exam for every semester.

The yearly fees of our college is about rs- 50000/- a year.The admission fee is about Rs 200/-, I dont remember about the other compulsory fees but the total fees was about Rs 50000/- ,as per each semester it's about rs 25000/-.The fees of my other batchmates are more expensive especially B.sc because there are many things to consider but I don't know the exact amount probably rs 60000-80000/- per year

My overall experience as a 1st year student is that the college although has a good environment and all it does not have many students club that I was interested in and so my experience so far was quite boring .The facilities and other amenities are good but some classrooms have no fans and nowadays it can get really hot.

I applied for other colleges such as Shillong Commerce and St Anthony's College and it was confirmed that I will get admission in Shillong Commerce as long as I paid the fees as for St Anthony's College it was not confirmed.I chose Shillong College instead of the other two because I was sure that I was going to get the admission bin this college and it is also cheaper as compared to the others as it is a government college. I got in one of the college but the other it was not confirmed.The admission is mostly online along with the fees.The students are eligible for this college if they got a 45% or above .There are no exam required for students and the admission went quite smoothly.

As far as I know there are about 9 members in one department and there are about 300 students in my department.I don't really know about other departments.The members are very much approachable to any students ,they are kind but sometimes they are strict ,I guess that comes with being a teacher.I like my department especially my teachers except for the seniors.I don't know much about other department but the computer science department looks fun to be in.The faculty that I didn't like is the English department as they are very strict.There are internal test done first then followed by an exam for every semester .They are not that hard if you study. My best guess of the students that failed is 30 .The course curriculum is very much relevant to all the tests and exams.
