Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate it 8 out of 10 inn terms of number. As we know at present times no field is greater . Every field has its own significance. such as studying commerce is very practical in these times.It enables our practical thinking towards life.

Internships Opportunities

The internship oppurtunities of my college are very vast. As companies want there employees to be young and full of energy so that they can learn about the company from grassroot level. The stipend differs for each company . it varies between 5000 to 15000 according to the skill set.

Fees and Financial Aid

For taking admission in St Anthonys College it required 20000rs at the beginning as admission fees which also included the first semester fee. The registration fee was 200rs. The year wise fees is around 15000

Campus Life

My experience in the campus has been good. As i am an extrovert, i like to be with people . The library is the place that caught me by surprise as there were a lot of variety of books and also an online page including different books that too for free.

Admission

I took admission in this as it is close to my home town . I dreamed of going to manipal university but couldn't take admission as i was late and it is too far from my hometown. The admission process is quite simple in my colllege as they did not lay their full focus on marks but also checked a persons other skills.

Faculty

The name of the faculty which caught my interest was the media tech faculty. there are total two exams that take place in the college, the internal and external examination. Which both take place at the end of the semester.

My College Experience in St. Edmund's College

Placement Experience:

the students from 4th Semester above are eligible for the campus placements. the college placement cell provides each and every opportunity to the students and to influence the students to not only be good in the academics but to also have extra curricular activities. the college placement cells always conducts online or offline meetings with the students, to hell them faced the real world and to not be covered in a bubble shell. they brings people from outside to conduct the meeting and select students who are capable. Many companies has offered placement for the students from our college, companies from the country as well as outside the country. the highest package is 30000 and average package is 5000 as offered by the company. the percentage of students getting placements is 95% out of 100%. the remaining 5% may have their own reasons to not go for the placement or they are not selected for the placement. My plans after getting my degree is to continue with my UPSC, i don't have any other plan apart from UPSC.

The college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really found this course very interesting and since I am interested in building up my own business if everything works for me this course is the best to guide me . Since our course is semester wise so we have two semesters every year and each semester is of 6 months and at the end of every semester we have the end sem exams . Over and above that we use to have internals and assignments for each semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since the college name itself suggests that it has Commerce in it so the Commerce department teachers and course were very relevant and facilities like issuing books from library is there for students who can't afford to buy books and apart from books we also have journals and newspapers for our reference. Besides, there are computers in the library for us when we need to do any presentation or any other work. It is helpful for students. Though the name has Commerce in it, the college also offers course for Arts stream, i.e. BA.

Remarks:

There not much negative feedback. Only we should see is positive ones. The negative ones can be overcome only through improvisation of the current facilities with the feedbacks that will be receiving.

My story in st.Anthonys college Shillong

I originally wanted to go to Delhi university I even got the seat but because of the delay of the Cuet result I had to keep my option open. I applied to maybe 4 college one is from my local place, the other one is b.booruah,st Anthony's and DU. But since my Cuet results were delayed I ended up in stb.Anthonys I got accepted in the other two college which I applied for but since st.Anthony's was my second option I came here. In st. Anthony's due to some network issue my acceptance mail was stuck so I had to come here in the college and talked with the principal after finally talking with the principal I received my email and my admission was done. I applied in Shillong College for BBA, but there was no longer any seats for me as i was a little bit late. I applied for my current college before the college that I've mentioned above. A detailed review on my college (St Anthony’s,Shillong):pros and cons

I applied into the university of agricultural sciences, Raichur. I got selected there and was invited for admission but I canceled my admission as it was too far away from my hometown. I got selected there for the degree of b.tech in agricultural engineering which I didn't really prefer too as I didn't want to persue b.tech. The admission process was pretty simple for my college as we only had to apply online though the college website and the merit was based on our 12th grade results.
