College review : SRMCEM

Positive remarks is that it prepares us for life ahead. Very competitive and serious environment for studies. You cannot run feom studies here. Negative remark is that there is little support for extra curricular activities and sports. No extra motivation is given for such activities.

The course curriculum is well distributed throughout the year. The exam strucute is quite strict . You need to give weekly 2 tests covering all 6 subjects. 4 surprise test per subject. Preends and midsems for labs and final university endsems.

The placements and job opportunities have increased through the years . We had an amazing placement in most of the departments. Companies like adaani , tcs, wipro, torrent, ola, byjus came and toke several people.

The fee structure is affordable . It is 1,17,000 per annum for btech. Also bus fee accounts 20,000 per annum. Hostel and mess fee is 78,000 per annum. The remaining fee includes all sports activities, fests, industrial visits , labs etc. No additional fee to be paid.

Scholarship can be availed by children with parents in government jobs, minorities etc . The scholarship is provided by the government of uttar pradesh each year which can be applied at the start of each year

Extra curricular activities are less. You get less time for such activities. The fests are the time where you get additional time devoted to these activities. Sports equipments are available but are in shortage most of the time. Lab facilities are average. Some labs be well maintained while some require improvement of machinery.

Alumni students have very less or no contact . However seniors are helpful in most aspects. Be it academics , sports, cultural activities, administrative work etc. A polite behavior is required to interact and they are ever ready to help as much as they can.

By giving the UPSEE exam for engineering . I scored in the desired number of rank so i was asked to give my preferences for the colleges i want . I gave SRMCEM as my top 5 colleges. I was selected within the critaria , was called for interview and counselling and i got the admission.

The faculty is mixed. You get from young professors with modern knowledge to experienced professors with thoughout knowledge of the subject matter. They all very helpful and continuously look into the welfare of the students.
