Course Curriculum Overview

4

1. First of all the joy to treat and cure a patient is irreplacable with any other branch. 2. You get to see real time patients all the way since 2nd year itself and understand how everything works in real time. 3.The exams have a gap of around 3 months and are moderate to difficult. 4. A more integrative teaching is needed.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship is mandatory and it's offered at our college hospital itself. We are posted in all the departments of the hospital on rotation basis with each posting lasting between 2 weeks to 8 weeks depending on the branch. The stipend is around 25K per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee is 11000 for a total duration of 4 yrs. Caution fee is 2000, which is paid once. There are no other hidden fee. The fee is same for all categories. There is a govt scholarship of Rs.11000 per year on merit basis .

Campus Life

4

1.we do have an annual college fest , typically held in the months of August or September and an annual freshers days which is held after the admissions of first yrs is done , which would be mostly in JUNE / JULY. 2.The college library has all the books, journals and research papers related to every year. 3. Each class has wodden desks and a projector installed. 4. There are no student run groups on the campus which makes life really stressful for the mbbs students.

Hostel Facilities

4

1. Each room accommodates two members and we have to use common washrooms and in the INTERNSHIP , we are provided with single rooms with attached bathroom. 2. The food is good except for some days. 3. The registration fee is 10000 for whole 5 years. And a montly rent of 500.

Admission

1. I applied to both government and private colleges in the state and only got tm selected into this government college , do it was a straight choice for me as the government college has more patient load. 2. We get colleges based on the ALL INDIA RANKING not on choice basis exactly . 3. The only way to get into our college is through NEET-UG and cut off changes every year and it is d different for different category students like OC,OBC,SC,ST

Faculty

5

There are total of 100 students each year.First year has 3 subjects, second yr has 4,Third year has 3 and Fourth year has 4 subjects. In total there are 14 subjects and each subject has varying number of faculties such a tutors, assistant professors, associate professors and a HOD in increasing order of ranking.Coming to the faculties and teaching-You shouldnt be expecting any spoon feeding ,they'll only let you know the basic concepts and rest of the subject should be self taught . But the practicals and case explanation are really good. Exams - Each year has 3 INTERNAL EXAMS which are conducted by the college itself and there is ONE FINAL EXAM & PRACTICALS conducted by the NTRUHS.The exams are fairly tough to pass and practicals are even harder. The pass rate at our college is around 90-95 each year. The curriculum is given in advance each year and it is pretty detailed and everyone had to go through the same things and makes it easy for learning.Overall learning experience is good

The time table of the circulum is best but they can still make it better by adding some revision classes for theory too. They have revision classes for practicals only . The classes are too fast so atleast they should add one revision class

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.
