- The campus is large, green and beautiful, it has many garden areas, playgrounds, all sport facilities, a lot of trees, etc.
- The college has very strict rules and regulations for students, especially girls, which make it safe and reliable for all students.
- The cources and curriculum is distributed in such a way, that it covers every necessary subject thoroughly and follow step by step learning.
Dislikes
- Too hectic schedule for hoatel students, especially sometimes classes end at 7.30 at night
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum is very good. The college provides students to choose thein courses and respective faculty every semester. It helps students to take the responsibility of their own studies. It is also beneficial for them in making decisions.
Internships Opportunities
The college provide internship opportunities to 3rd and 4th year students in good companies and startups giving them an exposure to the professional workspace. It also has a cell named VNest which funds students to make thein own startups
Placement Experience
Every year more than 95% of the students of the outgoing batch gets placed in good companies. It has an average package of 12lakh and above. It is a good choice for the students in terms of campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
VIT has a fee structure based on its category system. Based on their entrance exam VITEEE, and the online counselling, they provide each candidate the branch and category on their merit. There is no reservation based on caste or religion. 1st category students have to pay the lowest fee for their B-tech while 5th Category student have to pay the highest. They also provide hostel facilities, which include 2,3,4,6 and 8 bed rooms.
Campus Life
The college has more than 100 clubs and societies in it. It gives students a good opportunity to socialize and make friends. It has cultural clubs of different states celebrating the festivals and events. It also has many tech clubs organization a lot of events. It conducts two fests every year.
Hostel Facilities
There are many hostels in the campus. The students live comfortably in the hostels provided to them. They provide 2,3,4,6 and 8 beded rooms to students. For boys the hostel in time is 9pm ans 8pm for girls.
Admission
VIT has a good brand name among engineering colleges. It stands on the 11th position according to NIRF rankings 2024. It provides placement to each and every student. It is also a well reputed college among its competitors. It being in Tamil Nadu, has a good exposure to IT industry in Bangalore and other core industries in the state itself.
Faculty
All faculty in the college are well versed, have good knowledge about their subject. The college taked feedback from students about their faculty and tries to work on them. There are three main exams in one semester named CAT-1, CAT-2 and FAT. Each cam contribute 15 marks, Fat contribute 40 marks and the rest is taken from assignments, projects and practicals to form whole 100 mark in a semester
