Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education was established in 1984 by the Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities.[2] "Kalvivallal" Thiru T. Kalasalingam, veteran freedom fighter, was the founder chairman.[citation needed] It was granted deemed to be university status in 2006.[2] In November 2017, following a directive by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to drop the "University" from the name[3] it was renamed Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education.

Course Curriculum Overview

very good and thery are providing a new courses and i this college they are conducting two intrnals as sectional examinations and one semester examinations internal for 50 marks and externa for 50marks and the pass percentage is 40marks

yes in our college they providing for intenship programme.The placements are good nearly 100 of company are comming to interview every year .befor the interview the college is providing the extra classes to prepare for interview

College Events

in our college many nearly 10 to 15 groups are there (green army ,youth red cross ,Tamil mandram ,photograpy club,NCC,NSS, etc etc . sports and their are used to celebrate the programme in grand in mannar

Kalasalingam university is in 31 years of excellent service in the Engineering field of offering a wonderful higher education in all the disciplines of Engineering.The world class infrastructure in all branches of learning, an excellent central Library and also an International Research centre pulls up the Engineering, Arts and Research students to the heightened peaks in their career.This Excellent educational System duly acknowledges the merit and credit of the student. Merit Scholarship are awarded to the first three rank holders of all the disciplines.In addition to this the generous Management in Kind enough to offer Rs. 35000 /- to one boy and one girl who are selected as the Best out going students.A committee is framed to analyses the credential ties of the students on the layout of Academic performance, paper presentations, pass in Technical and Competitive Exams, Certification in language proficiency exams and Involvement in University and department level conferences, workshops and celebrations.

Placements : The placement offers was satisfactory for our seniors and about 97% of my seniors are placed in various companies with a good pay. Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

I choose this college because compare to other colleges I applied, here the curriculum and faculty felt more relavent for my future goals. I also applied in 2 other colleges but either cutoff was too high or I miss in interview stage, so couldn’t get seat. Admission process here was simple, they accept main entrance exam score and merit list, eligibility was 12th pass with required 80% in PCM. Cutoff was decent compare to top colleges, so I got chance.
