- As i am in first year, the faculty is very friendly and supporting towards the studies
- There are numerous workshops that help us improve the basic needs for getting a good placements.
- As this college is autonomous, they create their own curriculum that is very good and the exam paper is also created by them only.
Dislikes
- Minimum attendance of 85% for the first year students is compulsory.
- The infrastructure is not very good looking and well maintained
- The campus life is very minimal, coming here would not give you the "campus life" you imagined.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is BTech with specialization of AIML, as this is emerging technology, i had a keen interest in ML that is why choose this, the curriculum is good for this branch. The exams does happen quickly but the difficulty is medium in my opinion.
Internships Opportunities
There are internship opportunities for everyone but they are not always paid. They start from the 3rd year onwards and to gain a good internship you should also make projects of your own. The technical clubs also do organise some programs to improve the quality of coding.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year on, the internship opportunities are provided and from 4th year the placement trainings happen for better jobs. The companies that came in the campus was TCS, COGNIZANT and other mass recruiters and AMAZON did came twice. The highest package was 40 lpa this year and the average is between 4-5 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 1,70,000 rupees in the first year of my college. And i got to know that from next year I'll be paying 1,50,000 each year for my BTech degree. I think maybe the fee can get increased but not completely sure about that. I didn't get to know about any scholarships during my admission.
Campus Life
The main and biggest event of NIET is JAGMAG, there are also other events that happen but not frequently. It's not that there are zero events. The books are available in the library and is easily assesible to everyone, you can issue them from there. There is a sport club where there are numerous sports to play, there are indoors games ( badminton, chess, TT and others ) and outdoor games as well ( cricket, football, basketball and others ). There are zonals and inter branch competitions every year. There are also numerous club as technical and cultural clubs too run by seniors.
Admission
I applied to GL Bajaj, GNIOT, GCET and ITS etc. But i got into NIET and GNIOT and GCET and ITS, i wasn't able to get into GL bajaj because if my less JEE score. I choose this college over others because of placements, i beleive that the placements would increase over the year as the recession also came.
Faculty
There are 70 students in my section but the faculty pay attention to every student's doubts (if any) and they do pays attention to everyone. The course curriculum is good and there are weekly tests that happens on every monday and the mid sems and end term exams also do happen.
