Likes

the placements in psg tech is especially exceptional with an average package of rupees 7lakhs
the students have a high degree of freedom
there are no strict dress codes to be followed by male students which is also a plus

Dislikes

some faculties are not upto the standard
the toilets are sometimes smelly and dirty
the cafeteria is really expensive when compared with outside food

Course Curriculum Overview

The college has a good curriculum except for during the first year. The curriculum had unneccessary courses such as Chemistry and Physics for IT students which were irrelevent to IT students. There were also some useless courses such as Engineering practices which focused on welding and such.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There were a lot of companies who came for interships such as Morgan stanley, DE SHAW, Goldman Sachs, Arista Networks , which all had a stipend from 50000 - 1lakhs. The main roles which were offered are SDE and data Analyst.

Placement Experience

PSG Tech has one of the best placement opportunities in tamil nadu on par with IITs and NITs. The CSE/IT and ECE ,EEE branches especially has really good placements. There are around 100 to 150 companies that visit PSG tech

Fees and Financial Aid

tuition fee- 13750 special and other fee - 42775 development fee - 5000 examination fee - 1500 mark sheet cost fee - 100 information technology association fee -500 university sports fee - 125 the above is for people who joined through counselling in TNEA

Campus Life

There are many clubs and fun activities in PSG Tech. Some of the clubs are Animal welfare club, Book readers Clubs , Photography club, etc,.. But there not much technical festivals but there are 2 to 3 festivals such as INTRAMS and DRAMATICS

Admission

The main reason why I applied to PSG Tech is for its excellent placements. Especially in the IT department which had a average package of rupees 7lakhs. This was the first choice of college for me and i got it.

Faculty

there are sufficient faculty in the Information technology department. the faculties are very much approachable and friendly except for some. i really like D Dharani , who is our class tutor as well as handled some core courses in the IT department.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students

Likes

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

Dislikes

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

Placement is very excellent in this college. Nearly all eligibility students get placed every year. Many recruiters are recruiting their employees through this college. The minimum package is 3 lakh per annum.
