What Students Say?
Likes
- I love the cafeteria, great atmosphere and food at affordable price
Dislikes
- campus is quite small compared to other colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
Well the course curriculum is pretty relevant, we are learning skills we see in our everyday life like website making, etc. exam timings might feel a little off since there is a much bigger gap between semester start and midsems than midsem and endsem.
Internships Opportunities
TCS, Google, Microsoft could be considered as some of the big names to give such oppurtunities in the college. Internships are ususally done during the summer break and are usually in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha itself
Placement Experience
Placement really depends on course and your skill level. While companies prefer btech over bca for job offers, you knowledge matters over your course in the end. Highest package might be 20L while average might be 10L
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The year wise fees is Rs. 1,50,000. Semester wise is Rs. 75,000 Total fees for the course is Rs. 4,50,000 as it is a 3-year course. This fee structure is for BCA students. For Btech students it is around 1,20,000 per semester
Campus Life
Technological facilities are great, library has strict decorrum and has a lot of books for all the courses. There is a major lack of events. Sports activities are pretty limited since we don't have a big ground. There are multiple clubs which we can join to improve ourselves like the SOA English Cafe.
Hostel Facilities
They provide us with 1 bed, 1 table, 1 chair and an almirah. Registration is as simple as filling some forms and submitting documents and paying the fees. Hostel food could use a total makeover though. Overall decent experience
Admission
The other colleges I had applied to, some were too far away while others I couldn't make it. The admission process was quite simple with an orientation after payment of admission fees for all the students irrespective of course taken.
Faculty
Well overall faculty is good, there are great teachers but also some not so good ones. Course is usually split into 4 modules per semesters. As for tests we have atleast 2 quizzes, a 30 marks midsem and a 60 marks endsem.
Other Applied Colleges
