Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was interested in programming and the course helped me to develop and improve my coding skills. There can be improvements in the course curriculum as it is mostly theory. It would have been better if there was more practical sessions. Timing of exams are good and pass marks can be scored quite easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for general category was Rs. 8000 in the first year and Rs. 4000 for the second and third years.Caution deposit was Rs. 360.Lab fees was Rs. 980.Students from communities like SC and ST does not have to pay any fees.
Campus Life
Yes, there are tech festivals and arts festivals evry year. There is a sports fest as well. Students themselves take initiatives to conduct these festivals and they are good. We have a good library that has enough books and journals for academic as well as casual reading purposes. Sports items like football, cricket can be played in the campus. There are clubs for spoken english, photography etc in the college.
Admission
I have applied for another college called Mar Alias but i chose this college as it was near to my house and the fee structure is low. The transport facilities to this college is also better. For the admission, my 90% marks were enough to get into the college. We need 15 marks out of 30 for the internal tests to get passed.
Faculty
The faculty are really supportive and friendly towards the students, even though some among them can be better in teaching. My Programming in C teacher Mrs. Arya was really good towards the students. There are 2 internal tests for each subject in each semester. They are quite easy to get passed.
