Kalasalingam academy of research and education review

I like biological sciences and technology so I chose this course and am also a pure science student. The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose this course is microbiology and industrial Biotechnology. They are really fascinating. They often conduct workshop and internships. And the department also have good lab facilities which prepare us for real world applications. Class room can be improved with good ventilation and bench facilities. Labs can be centralized with AC since we are working with microorganisms and it should not be contaminated. The classes starts from 9AM to 5 PM. It's hectic though we have to study.

I didn't start my internship yet so I didn't know about the roles but my seniors who attended internships in INSA a government internship program providing occupation and food free of cost with stipend amount of 5000 for two months.

Even from the 3rd semester students can be placed in kalvium a computer guided course but the actual campus interview starts from 5th or 6th semester. We should have a good resume for getting placed in reputed companies by attending workshops and internships. Top companies like TCS, IBM, cipla, TATA, biocon, Nutanix, Renault Nissan and other 800+ recruitment. The highest package offered from the company Nutanix with the annual package of 50 lakhs per annum for the students from CSE, ECE, IT, and EEE. Approximately 90% of students get placed. My plans after degree is either persuing MS in biotechnology in abroad or cracking CAT exam and aiming for IIMs.

The year wise fee am paying is 65000 along with 10000 mescilenious fee cause for those who scored above 80% in their 12th boards they will be given with 50% scholarship. The lab fee will also come under this. But the total fee for my course is 100000. The admission n fee is 5000. I didn't pay any registration fee. My benchmates are paying 75000 and above.

There are a lot of club like Pyros fine art club, nature club, photography club, vishaka club, YR c, yuva tourism club and so on. They conduct a lot of events and fest providing certificate to clear the non cgpa. Every year a national event called sparks is conducted a intra college events where students from other colleges participate. They have a very good centralized library with 8000 volumes of books with laptop facilities. We have a very good classrooms with projector but lack ventilation and light. other sports, NCC, NSS also there in our college which will be very much useful for students aiming government jobs. There are lots of fine arts club like Pyros, vishaka, Sherlock Holmes. Music, dance, art, fashion, gaming, literature and so on. So students who are interested in any field can be selected in the group by auditions.

There are AC and Non AC rooms, AC rooms with attached bathroom, non AC rooms with attached bathroom, non AC non attached bathroom. Dual bedrooms and the cost varies accordingly. Cot will be provided and each cupboard for an individual, a mirror, hanger etc. to be honest the cattering is worst. Poor service and food are often found with hair, plastic, worm. The registration process for hostel can be applied in their website. We have three mess north mess and south mess and in south mess we have andhra and tamil mess. Both veg and non veg is available we should choose accordingly. I didn't rent room outside since am comfortable here.

I applied in Madurai American college, subbulakshmi and SRM at chennai. Since am a pure science student the other engineering college didn't admit me cause I didn't study maths. Then I applied in kalasalingam university and got admission. No I didn't get any rejection from the college I got applied. Since I got admission in kalasalingam for my course I joined here. The admission process can be done in nearby kalasalingam office around your surroundings, or you can directly come to the college for admission or it can also be done via kalasalingam official website. The person's percentage must be above 55%. And a cut of above 80%.

Few faculties behave very friendly with students understand their hectic schedule at college and also share their knowledge not only subjects but also about placement, offers, motivation and so on. Beside that there are faculties behave with students according to their cgpa and always target students who have low cgpa. They also bad mouth about students with other faculty. I didn't want to name the faculty but he is really friendly and keep their class engaged and share about the struggles faced by them in their life. The faculty I hate is my chemical engineering mam cause she always target me for no reason and insult. Anyways I don't give a thing about that. We have 2 sessional exam in a semester and practical exams and finally semester exams. An average of 36% of students fail the exam. This course is very relevant to the biological sciences and technology.
