Life in HIT

The curriculum is well designed and placement of this college took me to chooose this course. The curriculum deigned to prepares you for real-world applications with the studies and other skilles learning , activities. Overall the teaching methods are good can't able to suggest anything for now. Exams are held every second month of the semester by the college.

I got a internship under IOCL. There was no stipend at all but overall got industrial knowledge though out my internship. I did chemical furnace outage duty throughout the internship. That was very much informative and gain industry knowledge too.

From 7th Semester students become eligible for the campus placements. Many companies like Adani, Wipro, TCS, IOCL etc visits in the campus for offering jobs. Currently highest package is 10L to minimum package is 3.5L and average was around 4.5L per year. Almost 90 % student got placed there this campus placements. I am currently working in and IT sector right now.

The Detailed fee structure ( Yearly ) = 85000 Break down will be - Per Semester fee = 40000 Caution Money = 15000 Hostel Fee = 24000 There are few students those who are studying through quota and scholarship admission. A swami vivekananda scholarship program is there for students those who get 60 % above marks in there 12th board and throughout graduation. the fees of my batchmates has little bit difference those who have different branch.Like mca has 1.6 L per year and M.Tech has 1.2L - 1.6L per year.

Riviera is the annual cultural fest and prayukti is the tech fest is the biggest fest held by the college. We have a separate massive round library building which is huge and beautiful too and have massive amount of books in that library for course and further studies. Every class room is air conditioned and have smart class in the class, with speaker built in the class room only. Annual sports in our college is also held in the campus. Social group and NGO are very active with the students.

The facilities provided in the room is beds , study table with attached washroom. The meal quality and menu is overall average. Registration process for the hostel is affordable with 24000 per year fee. The locality i rented the room is besides the college only with in 10 min walking distance.

I applied for Jadavpur University but my ranks was not up to the marks , so i didn't make it over there. I haven't got any rejection because i applied for two there college which i got cleared 2 of the college except jadavpur. Admission can be done by WBJEE or Management quotas is also there in this college. cutoffs for the college if you have under 10k in wbjee you can make it to this beautiful college.

Faculty to student ratio is 20:80. The professor are very much approachable and helping if you have study related or project related queries you have then. I think taking name of any professor is not that good idea but yeah all of them are very good in terms of knowledge.But all the professors who is in my branch chemical department are very much helpful throughout my studies.I don't think whom i like or hate someone in the facility. Exam is not that easy to clear for everyone. There are 3 assignments continously and a final semester exam was held by the college. Somehow 20 to 15 % of student is fail to clear the exam sometimes. Course curriculum is well structured.
