Course Curriculum Overview

4

the curriculum is not that well designed but based on the syllabus it was quite better than other Colleges in competition given that i opt for BE not BTech curriculum preparers you almost nothing for the real-world applications or jobs but teachers like jyoti sir and hod mam they're quite serious about students having the hands on experience of the real world projects there are seminars and three mandatory internships which affect the results thus students get a chance to work on the skills the syllabus should be updated like jave still has applets in it but why it has been deprecated in 2007 and so many subjects are too outdated for real world like microprocessor 8088 frequency and timings of exams are quite good, sometimes you can discuss with teachers like jyoti sir if you need extra time for preparation

Placement Experience

2.5

from the seventh semester students are eligible for college placements and the students who have no backlogs are allowed to sit in the placements but sometimes the students with backlogs are also allowed to sit in the placements varies company to company novem technologies, pie infocom and sparks technology, avi soft these are some of the companies which visited the college for on campus placement as you can check no well known company is there almost 50% students have a chance of getting placed if you prepare enough for the coding and technical rounds I'm planning to move abroad for my ms

Fees and Financial Aid

the first year fee structure goes like this admission fees almost 24000 and then 2nd sem fees was 16400 and then the fees change according to odd and even semester for odd sems fees was 16400 and for even sems fees was 14500 then it got increased to 15800 if you apply for scholarship as per ecw certificate then you'll get upto 100% tuition fee refund along with hostel fees i guess hostel fee is like 6000 per sem or more I don't know i was a day scholar the fee structure is same for each branch

Campus Life

3.5

no college fests are held in the college in my 4 years journey only two fests were held one was cultural fest and the other was holi and Diwali fest but there was nothing too interesting about that everything was quite below the expectations and no major event took place the college maintains a good library and it has one of the best sitting arrangements classrooms are equipped with the digital boards and projectors as per need but yes technically enough support is provided the college organises many sport events like cricket table tennis and the students are encouraged to take part in those no student run college clubs are there because students are too boring and less passionate there once our professors decided to make a club but out of 300 only 30 students were interested and we dropped the idea

Admission

i didn't apply for another college because i got the seat in this college through an entrance examination known as Jkcet i didn't apply for any other colleges thus faced no rejection at all firstly you need to prepare for the JKCET exam and it's registration opens on jkbopee website and you must have PCM as your subjects the preparation is similar to JEE mains thus you can prepare for both exams simultaneously after that if you fall into merit you're invited for the counselling in which based on the seat availability and your filled preferences you're alloted a branch you can choose another college too like MIET JAMMU ,YCET ,MBS but they're not goverment colleges thus the fee structure is quite high lik MIET costs 80k per sem

Faculty

4

faculty is friendly and helpful with the students and maintain and postive relationship with the students sheetal gandotra mam is one of my favourite teacher because she has a very calm and soothing personality and teaches too good DSA and ADA then jyoti mahajan sir is one of the best java and microprocessor teacher he is kinda serious but has an in-depth knowledge about his subjects i never liked the first year faculty like there was a teacher ajay sir he used to teach welding but was too distracted with his no sense shit two seasonals are there based on section a and section b of the syllabus respectively and they're tougher than the final exam almost 40% students fail due to the lack of proper paper checking and all by the side of University other than that exams are quite easy

Placement Experience:

The Placements opportunities are fair as they placement is not good. The average placement is 5 l.p.a which is very low. So you have to prepare for off campus placement. The College is slightly cut off from the top companies and they are not visiting our college from covide period. Thus placement is at not good track.

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

Palcements in college are below average . If you want to get the on campus placement you need to be very good in the skills and different from others. if not placed you can try to get off campus placement also or can give any other exams like upsc, ssc, gate etc.
