They conduct there own entrance exam. The entrance exam is online based MCQ system you can just be at your own house and give your exam You can take direct admission based on your JEE Mains score. If you passed the exam, email will be sent to you containing the eligibility of you filled course, ranking and fees also there account details in which you may transfer the fees and send a email of photo of the transaction. The avg. placement in this college is 5LPA which only a few students get more than 10LPA package. However you may get a good job in off campus placement. There is a central library in college which stores a large collection of books, they have 6-7 copies of each book so students dont fight to get the books. The labs are also well equipped. The BEE lab has imported devices for practical purpose. There is a variety of clubs such as dance club, singing club, nukkad natak club, photography club, chess club and many more sports club. Many clubs participate in district and state level competitions, where one can get opportunity to even visit NITs like last year the Drama Club went IIT khadakpur for drama competition. Hostel facilities are very good. They give variety of rooms such as AC/Non AC single sitter bedroom, 3 sitter bedroom or 5 sitter bedroom. Girls have different hostel (their room are bigger compared to boys). There is also option if you want room with attached bathroom or not, the fees is charged accordingly. The Hostel food is ok.

Admission

I applied at all govt. college with CSe as my choiced Branch but unfortunately I didn't get any. As I was waiting for Counselling Results it was already late and this college had less fees with decent package.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
