Remarks

It is a great place to learn not just in the academic sense but also in overall growth as a person. This place is growing and maturing with time so one should also consider this as an option to get inside and grow along with the college. You will definitely learn how to practical tackle issues.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I think that the course needs to be updated as we are made to teach a few subjects that aren't useful for our future and new subjects that could prove to be beneficial should be incorporated. Also, according to the new CBCS students have the freedom to choose among few subjects but we aren't given that liberty yet. The exam structure is quite impressive as we are made to give 3 mid semester exams each of 20 marks and the best two are considered for final marking. Then one final end semester exam is conducted of 60 marks. The semester ends with external's or viva\s for core subjects.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and job opportunities are absolutely good as there are a plethora of companies coming to our college. There are great mass recruiters for quantitative selection, therefore, placement numbers are high as well as there are certain good profile based companies that give a great platform and opportunity for students to grow.

College Events

3

The major event of our college is Aakshank. It is one of the biggest events of the entire state. It is majorly organized and funded through students efforts. There are day events which include games, music and other fun activities. There is a competition like dancing, singing, drama, fashion show, and rock band. Also, the show stopper is the star night and EDM night. Apart from this, we have techno events like Invento where coding and other competitions are conducted which attract students from other colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The earlier fee structure was reasonable in accordance with the facilities but now it has become expensive as the facilities and amenities are the same but the fees have increased for no reason. There could be a better classroom with better wifi's, better updated labs with the flexibility of hours and various little things that could be easily provided but aren't provided currently.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship on the basis of merit. Students belonging to different categories like SC, ST, OBC, and minority are also offered scholarship but the deciding factor varies from category to category. Loans are available but I know have much knowledge in that domain.

Campus Life

3

Labs are just for namesake. The instruments are outdated, types of equipment like computers are faulty, neither are students allowed to freely sit and so there work after a certain time which varies as per the guard or faculty there. However, if you are working under some faculty of the college then they can arrange working space for you but for personal projects, one is not permitted. There is no sports facility at the college level but we can always available privileges of the university. There are professional level players available and it is fabulous.

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes, I have opted for a hostel as I don't belong to Indore and the infrastructure is well planned but not well implemented. You can see the cheap quality of construction material used and not all washrooms are well equipped as they should have been but it's a government institute so we can't complain much. There is very slow processing for small issues and students can be mistreated by hostel wardens(especially for girls) just for reporting an issue and that is something that has changed recently within a few years. In the name of the security of students, we are more exploited and suppressed. Faculty often use priveledges like water supply in case of shortage for their own benefit on behalf of students. We are often abused by hostel wardens and even one of the guards and on complaining the cycle repeats.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, there are many seniors who help our college to grow but since our college isn't much old therefore we don't have many seniors at the topmost level of the hierarchy as it needs some time. But our present seniors' interaction with placement cell is very well and this network as a whole is working well.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty of our college is unfortunately not updated. There are certain highly knowledgeable faculty available but as a whole, the condition is quite poor especially at the beginning level a student requires great teachers who not just develop an interest in a student but help him out whenever he is stuck with a problem. All the faculty is not qualified to assist students as per the requirement.

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.
