Reasons why i might have chosen architecture is the passion for design, creativity, impact on society, problem solving skills. Mainly the portfolio development helps and some practical experiences, guest lectures and workshops etc.

Admission

I choose this college based on the strong reputation, this college helds up one of the top ten in India for B.arch Course.I also mainly chose this college due to the location which is in the centre of Chennai, Royapettah.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio at MEASI Academy of Architecture is approximately 1:10.This ratio ensures that student receive personalised attention and guidance.I don't wish to share the faculties whom i like or dislike. Main exam is the design studio and other 5 subjects based on theory cum studio and only theory.

Beyond your limits

Placement Experience:

Students can become eligible in their 8th semester which is also called PPO (Pre Placement Offer) where the number of students getting placed are very low or the students can get their placements in their 10th semester. L&T, Sanjaypuri architects, Zaha Hdid architects are the few companies that I know. In general there are 10-20 offers made. The highest package offered is 18LPA and average is 5.5LPA as per the latest data. 78-85 percent students get placed and the other 15 percent opt for further studies. Currently I'm not sure with my plan but I may do master degree.

Architecture amidst serene greenery

Course Curriculum Overview:

The duration of the course is 5 years with 10 semesters in total. I think this is good period of time to learn architecture. Each semester has five theory subjects and one design subject. The design subject deals with designing buildings with given brief without any plagiagrism. The other five theory subjects are quite easy other than the subjects that involves maths, which requires practice and learning. all the nine semesters are quite conceptualized, whereas the internship semester gives an idea on how the real world of architecture industry works. Though the syllabus is old all over india, it might be for betterent if the practical learning is involved in all semesters.

ONE OF THE BEST CAMPUS AMONGST ALL NITs. NIT TRICHY.

Placement Experience:

Placement happens in the fourth year before the final semester. Multiple companies offers jobs like Google, Amazon, Instagram etc. Average salary package is around 50LPA 95 percent of students get placed in average There is no campus placement for architecture.

the students need to score 50% marks in physics, mathematics and chemistry and also 50% overall to seek admission in this course. Other than that you need to give a aptitude test in architecture field or NATA exam. The selection is strictly done on the combined scores of 12th and scores obtained in the online test.
