Likes

College's management is very supportive. They are always there to help you.
They conduct time to time activities/functions which encourages students to show their talent.
Faculties are experienced and their way of teaching is good

Dislikes

There are no sports facilities. Almost all their rackets,bats are broken
Quality of college's mess food is poor. College's canteen food is also not good
Placements are not so good. Mostly marketing companies come here for recruitment

Course Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum is quite old. We are studying the same syllabus which the students of 10 years back were studying. There is no updation in the syllabus. The difficulty of exams is normal anyone can pass the exam easily

Internships Opportunities

There are not so many internship opprtunities in the collage. You have to look for an off campus internship. Also they will not allow you to go for an internship before the final year. So in this aspect the college is very poor

Placement Experience

Placements of this college are poor. Only 1-2% students got placed every year. Mostly marketing companies come here for placements. The highest package is 17 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA. Students are eligible for placements in the final year only

Fees and Financial Aid

Total tution fees for a year is 89k (44.5k per sem) of B.Tech CSE. But the fees for SC/ST categories students is like 9k per sem for B.Tech CSE. Also there is fees relaxation if you got a good percentage in class 12th but only in the 1st sem.

Campus Life

My overall experience is not so good. Campus life is decent not so good not so bad. The campus area is quite small but the infrastructure is good enough. They have proper labs for different domains. Classrooms are fully air conditioned and have projectors in every classroom

Admission

I applied for this college because it is near to my home that's it. There is nothing best in this college. Also the fees of the college is affordable. To get admmision in this college you need to do registration in the admission cell. After that you have to pay the fees and your seat is confirmed

Faculty

Faculties are quite good and experienced.They also give extra subjects like soft skills and aptitude. The way of teaching is good. HOD's are very supportive. Campus director sir is a very humble person even a student can go directly to the sir for any big issue

Good campus life with decent academics

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent.Many companies visit the campus,but getting a good package depends on your skills and performance.Teh university also provides training support. Some companies like Deloitte,nexity consulting,Bigbasket,zepto etc visited are campus.

Placement Experience:

Average placements for the college. As for the good stduents and competitive students companies r coming and they get internships and jobs . Companies like Deloitte, Adobe , Playsimple. Scalar AI labs , LG etc .Good Stsrtup and well knowed companies gave placements .

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

I applied for LPU and GGI but I didn't take admission in LPU because of its over my budget this GGI have both the things I need in the budget and the course which I was needed.
