Course Curriculum Overview

3

When I chose this course in this college. There was very boost trend of Ai engineers in the market. Or I decided to pursue Ai. The curriculum of Ai department is excellent. The syllabus is on point. Well the college only covers mostly the theory aspects of the subject. So most of the students suffer during its practical implementation. The suggestion I would provide is college should focus more on practical and industrial implementation of the subject. The difficulty level of exam is good no changes in that we get plenty time for self study before semester end exam.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Most of the internship offered are initially unpaid. They gradually pay as you pick up learning speed. Each semester you have to prepare a mini project and a guide is alloted to the project group and they have to update everything to guide atleast once a week.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is placement cell in the campus called PTO i.e placement training which get companies in the college capus for placement and internship opportunities. The PTO aslo arranged various seminar regarding placement and resume making and how to stand out from the crowd. The mass recruiter of the college Last year was TCS and around 100 recruitment on campus. The percentage of students get placed is quite less because most of them fail the tech round. The highest package on campus is 14lpa and average is 6lpa. My plans after the degree is pursuing PG.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee of this college lies about 128000 for general and open category students. However the college has plenty schemes in which the students get waiver. College Has OBC in which the waiver is 50% College has EBC in which the waiver is 50% College has SC/St in which the waiver is 95-100% And lastly college also has TFWS.

Campus Life

4.5

The overall experience with campus is great. The environment of college is very friendly and college is totally ragging free. Annually a techfest is conducted, a inter college event is conducted and a intra collegiate event named aurora is conducted. Aurora is the main fest in this college. This fest lasts for 10 days. 5 days sports events followed by 5 days cultural event. The library of the college big and wide variety of books are available more than requirements. If the physical copy of the book is not available librarian will mail you a soft copy of book. College has recently install smart board. College has very well maintained labs with good technology processors i511th gen. Yes there adequate amount of sports activities in the college. The college has its own football, volleyball, cricket, badminton team. There many groups, clubs, cells in the college For eg Students counsil Rotract club Nss Green club E-Cell Cesa..etc

Admission

To be very honest when admission during year 2022 there were only 3-4 college that was providing *Aiml* course. And universal college of engineering was of them so I applied and chose this as my engineering college. I got rejected in Vartak college situated at Vasai West because of something ".56"ile in mhtcht. The eligibility criteria for admission the college is. The college accepts two modes of admission one is mhtcet and other is jee based on you ranking and score department wise admission is done. Recommend percentile is 80ile up for any branch as of now.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of this college are well qualified in their own field of interest. Most them are Phd pursuing faculties. The course structure is designed by Mumbai University is quiet updated. Which includes laest technology being used. Exam structure is decided by Mumbai University conducted even semester in winter and odd semester in summer. The difficulty of the exam is moderate. Sometimes the paper are set totally conceptual and many of them get kt.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
