Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is average cant say much as it based on the syllabus provided by Mumbai university. I chose Artifical intelligence as the main stream as it is wide subject and has much opportunities. Curriculum has very well integration with real world application preparing us to tackle problems. Improvements are mostly with the outdated topic in syllabus. Per academic year 2 end semester exams are conducted, level of difficulty is between Medium to hard. Though most of us pass the semester exams. Teaching methods are very good as the faculty make use of ppt, projector, 3d models, ai and also provide handwritten notes to refer.

Internships Opportunities

5

College has its Campus placements rounds started right from the begining of the 4th year, as companies visit the placement rounds keep occuring. College has a very active Enterprenaurship groups which actively helps students pitch their ideas and work on it. Also help in funding our ideas. Many mini projects as well as problem statement solution finding as done too, which help students understand skill and have a firm grip over it.

Placement Experience

5

College has a very good rate of placements also it has its placement cell which brings multiple companies for internship and jobs requirement in college. Some companies which visited college are as TCS, Morgan Stanlee, Byjus, Cognizent etc 90 percent of students get placed in campus placements while the other 10 percent pursue Higher studies are start their own start ups.

Fees and Financial Aid

Universal college of engineering has comparatively a better fee structure than the other engineering colleges under mumbai university. Someone with scholarships can avail fees as low as 72k per academic year, while for non scholarship students the fee is 1.20 lakh can differ accordingly. Though the fee from second year onwards in slight less that is around 60k for scholarship students and 1.10 lakh for non-scholarship students. Some pros of this college are : 1. Fee is less 2. Has all mode of payments available for hassle free payments 3. Has their own integrated payment gateway with recipts downloaded in it. Some cons of this college are: 1. Though fee is less compared to other college but still is at the higher side 2. College fee doesnt include stationary fee Not much cons present as of now Definetly a college worth joining as the quality of education is good !!

Campus Life

5

College has a very good and active Peoples some famous alumni such as Kratex had completed his degree from this college Library is full of books, You can find any book over there without a hassle College has multiple groups such as NSS, E-Cell, Green club, GDG, Student council and many more. College has full fledged cricket and volleyball grounds also sports events are hosted too.

Admission

I chose this college because of the course - AiMl. Not much colleges were offering this branch and also this college had a lower bracket of percentile too. I didnt apply to many colleges as i was focused more on branch rather than College. Admission process are similar to other college. Seat intake is on basis of MHTCET and JEE MAINS. Cutoff are at par with higher ranked colleges

Faculty

5

Faculties are very chill and supportive and most of them come from a very rich healthy academic background with most of them being university topper or phd holders. We have a Mental health rooms too if someone needs personal care of theraphy to overcome something. Also most of the facutlies motivate students to join competitions or pursue Masters. Exams are conducted as per mumbai university rules and exams are conducted properly with no issue of cheatings or anything else. Internal exams are mostly cleared by most of the students and the semester paper the ratio of pass to fail is also less as most of them pass, Also faculties solve Previous year papers in classroom.

Night Life

5

Cafeteria is good and also the library is very peaceful eith not much of disturbance. Hostel i am not much sure about since i havent opted for it College has a very beautiful Shiv Mandir, aarti are conducted every morning it very peaceful there. We also have Thungeshwar sanctuary, Chinchoti Waterfalls, Bhajan lal dairy and many more place to visit outside of campus it never a boring day to bunk college.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
