decent campus with a good number of societies
canteen has a large variety of dishes to try
faculty is helpful and seniors are welcoming

Dislikes

migration isnt allowed by the principal ,noc isnt provided
classes are postponed regularly and teachers are late to class very often
library isnt fully accessible and classrooms are small with no air conditioning

bcom hons is the most alloted course for this tenure in delhi university , as im from commerce background this course fits my career goals this course and curriculum provides a good direction and opportunity for students pursuing commerce and business areas for improvements could be more focus on main subjects than other pointless add on subjects like evs or hindi which have little to no weight in commerce

the fees i paid is 16665 as tuition fee no scholarship provided , im from general category, the fee for my course is increasing every year for my specefic college and total fee paid is 16665 without any fee structure explanation

pravah is the annual fest in my college , it happens around march april may library is large and has a good number of books to explore classrooms just have benches and a white board sports is good like cricket football volleybll etc , college has a pretty big ground many societies like rotract,marketing,music,dance etc

Admission

i applied more than 100 colleges in my preference list but my first allotment was this college , i accepted this one due to the fact that i got my choice of course , eligibilty for this college was 650 plus marks in cuet exam

faculty to student ratio is almost 1:10 subject teachers and security guards are nice to talk to long with selfless helping to students library personell is rude and dont reply with sincerety examinations are yet to be conducted

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

PGDAV is best in terms of facilities

Students often choose PGDAV College because of its affordable fees structure and as it is affiliated with University of Delhi. It also offers various undergraduate courses like bcom hons, BA, etc. It is located in south Delhi and has decent connectivity via public transportation. The cut offs are slightly lower than other colleges of north campus. Like most Colleges of DU, admission here is on the basis of merit but now according to New Education Policy it is based on Cuet scores. Du releases cut of list in several rounds, students who meet the criteria can apply for admission. After selecting the college students need to verify their documents by the college.
