The clubs and departments here don't just hire on the basis of academics. They test your skills, personality, etc. by conducting group-discussions and personal interviews.
The zero attendence policy makes BITS stand out among the Tier-1 colleges/universities. And also promotes the entrepreneurship culture.

Dislikes

The gender ratio is messed up. It is nearly 1:7 (M:F) appx

Course Curriculum Overview

The aspects of my course (BE in Computer Science) that attracted me are that it is easier as compared to other branches like mechanical and electrical. The curriculum here basically forces you to go to a practice school to get real life experience in the industry which in my opinion is really great. There are two PS(Practice School): PS-1 in 2nd year, and PS-2 in 4th year.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunities for you. You can opt for Practice Schools which helps you get some experience. PS-1 is like unpaid internship and in PS-2 you get paid. PS-1 is at the end of 2nd year, and PS-2 is in 4th year.

Placement Experience

The placements are the best as one would expect from a tier-1 college. Students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package offered is around 1cr, and the average package offered is around 35lpa for my branch(CS)

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is 5.2 lacs and the hostel fee is 1.05 lacs appx. The fee is same for everyone and there is no reservation based on anything. Scholarships upto 100% are provided both on "merit" and "merit-cum-need" basis. Also there is no Management Quota.

Campus Life

I cannot explain how amazing the campus life is. The freedom you get here is unimaginable. There are 3 major fests every year; BOSM, OASIS and APOGEE. OASIS being the second largest fest in Asia. BOSM is the sports fest.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels provided are not luxurious, but they are decent. The mess food is not the best, and you will not like it but you'll have to accept it as eating fast food everyday would not be recommended.

Admission

I chose BITS because it is one of the top tier-1 universities, and is better than most of the IITs. Campus culture was another major factor that made me choose BITS over IITs. And the 0 attendance policy is sugar on top.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties here are one of the best across the country. They are really passionate about their subject and really approachable. There are minor exams which are conducted in tutorials that contribute to 15% of the course and then there are two major examinations known as Mid-Sem and Comprehensive examination.

SUMMARY ABOUT IIIT KOTA

Placement Experience:

the placement scenario of my college is imrpoving every year but it was still not as good as it was when we were at MNIT jaipur campus given the placement of last year but this year it seems to have imrpoved by a lot since there are much more companies visiting our campus this year the few companies visited are NVIDIA, VISA, E-SARAL, AMAZON, MEESHO, MYNTRA etc nvidia offered a 65lpa package and esaral offered 3 35LPA package the packages of other companies are not revealed yet. the highest package this year is 1CR+ but it's an off campus placement the highest on campus placement is 65 lpa by NVIDIA there are around 80% students getting placed every year inclduing on campus and off campus both few goes for higher studies such as M.TECH or MBA but there's stilla good amount of people getting placed every year out of which 40-50% are onn campus. my plans are to get a placement after college then if i get the opportunity and right consition then i might pursue M.TECH and PHD in foreign country

The students are allowed to sit in placement from from 6th-7th semester.The average package is around 350000 to 500000 lacks per Annum.. officially there were 250 companies visited This year most of them being startups ,, The most famous is maybe Google. The placement percentage is on lower side My plans are to crack a companies placement with decent amount of package

Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visited our university like amazon, deloitte, google,Microsoft, TCS, hcl tech etc. The highest placement of these year was 33 lpa and average was 7-8 lpa. These year our university got 1200+ offers and still counting. The companies mostly select based on skills and not cgoa, so if you have enough skills then you can easily clearly interviews and get placement.

campus placements at muj are decent but largely depend on individual performance and skill set . there are many companies visited like amazon tcs and microsoft and others they made many offers to students highest package is 25 lpa and average is 6 lpa and minimum is 3 to 4 lpa.roughly 70 to 80 % students get placed. my plains after getting degree is to get a job of highest package.

Placement Experience:

In third year student gets eligible for on campus internships offered by big companies like google and nvidia. from fourth year students gets to sit in placement offered by companies called to colllege if that student pass the eligibility criteria mostly based in CG in semesters. In 2024 highest package from our college was 53 LPA from computer science and engineering. the average package of our college was about 20 LPA for CSE department and can vary based on skills and branch. last year about 92% of Btech students gets on campus placements. In reality i haven't decided what i have to do after getting my degree. I wouls probably do job or opt for Mtech or MBA or maybe least probable i would like to prepare for UPSC.

Campus placements are decent. We have a good no. of companies visiting our campus for the placements. Approx 90 percent of student gets placed with over all average of 16.50 lpa. Highest package in 2023 was around 50 lpa.

BITS Pilani- A relevant review of Pharmacy

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
