The college is located in Thodupuzha of the Idukki district of Kerala and is in a picturesque location. The attached medical college hospital is a multispecialty hospital able to cater to the extensive needs of the general public and is a leading hospital in the district. The college is also wonderful with its exceptional faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good and vast. The curriculum and the syllabus are decided by the Kerala University of Health Sciences. After every year, they conduct a university examination in which the student should attain a pass to continue into the next year.
Placement Experience
As this is a medical college, there is no placement process as such. After the final year, there is a year of internship which should be completed to get the course certificate and permanent registration number from the state and national medical councils.
College Events
Almost all major events and festivals, religious and social, are celebrated in Al Azhar Medical College. They are all conducted by an elected college union, from the students among themselves. The events are really classy and up to the mark.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible for the majority. Those below a certain annual income, are eligible for the scholarships provided by the government by taking into account their financial status, that is, their annual income.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a government scheme of giving scholarships to students below a certain annual income. There is also another scheme in which the top 20% of students whose income falls below a set limit is waived off of a major amount of their fees, allowing them to pay government fees.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are many and varied, which along with sports are conducted by the college union of that particular year. There is a sports week, arts week and many more. The labs are also up to date and standard.
Alumni/Alumna
This college is yet to have an alumni network since the first batch is yet to pass out. We have already planned on setting up the alumni association with the cooperation of the senior students. We are sure we would be able to have an active alumni network in the coming years.
Faculty
The faculty is very good. Knowledgeable, experienced and holders of many degrees from reputed institutions of the country, they are the real asset to the institution. They are very student friendly and caring.
