A detailed overview of UPES Dehradun

It is very relevant to the course we have applied for at first you may think that if I've applied for Applied Petroleum Engineering why should I learn electronic of programming but when you try to dive deeper you realise everything is interesting connected The curriculum prepares us really well Practical labs should more in comparison of theory for better understanding of concepts

There are many types of internships offerd some are paid and some are not paid may range upto 1 lakhs and there are mandatory social intership as well in association with srijan. Many companies come to campus for internship recruitment as well.

From semester 6,7 There are many companies that come to campus but the big MNCs shark companies are Halliburton ,slumbmerger, adani, baker huges, goodrej, Boeing, cairn, exon mobile, hyundai, Larsen and turbo, etc. Highest is 33 LPA with newest placements bracket ranging from 20 to 60 lpa My plans after getting the degree is to either try for campus placement or give GATE examination

The year wise fees will be around 4.5 lakhs Caution fee is 10000 registeration fees is 500 The fees may vary with the amount of scholarship you get according to sports quota and boards percentage Scholarship may vary from 5 to 30%

There's freshers week which are organised by various student led chapters such as SPE FIPI and many others they are in the month of September generally The events are spandan sports event, inter school sports event , urja music and dance fest, freshers and dholida nights with events being organised by many clubs almost ona weekly basis The facilities are great in classrooms wit all technical equipments up to date All types of sports are tried to be offered to students in campus and out campus

The facilities provided in hostel rooms are there are some rooms with triple and double sharing with ac and without AC with three beds three cupboard and three study tables There are 4 .eals provided in a day with rotation of dishes every day and change in menu every 15 days

There were some colleges but I choose this college specifically for the type of course I wanted to enroll in which was applied petroleum engineering and this university is renowned for the petroleum core for many years and continue to boom in this industry I enrolled here for the experienced professor's that are readily available and are there for you to help you navigate. The eligibility for my college that is UPES was to have more that 50% aggregate in boards and the examination was UPESSEAT the overall admission process went really smoothly the it team finance team the councellor everything was great with nothing left to complain about

The faculties are very supportive and approachable the faculty to student ratio is reasonably good as well it nearly 30 to 1 According to my experience there are 2 faculties that I think are best Navjyot Hothi ma'am physics and Mahadeeswara sir Professor for avionics and robotics and matlabs Faculty I didn't like is Monika yadav not great at teaching stuff from electronics and electrical There are 8 semesters in which there are 2 exams mid sem and end sem so total 16 exams in 4 years There are many who may find things hard to learn so there are people who fail as well
