- Faculty members are good, Regular classes happen.
- The dean of college is strict and there is good discipline maintained in college.
- Extra curricular activities like MUN, Moot Court, happen regularly.
Dislikes
- Now the fees is sky high. ₹3,00,000 per annum. Middle class people cannot afford
- Some good teachers left the college. Some teachers got job in Government Universities, while some teachers cracked judiciary and are judges now.
Course Curriculum Overview
I joined this college, because I wanted to crack judiciary exam. The syllabus is designed in such a way that it helps you in preparing for Judiciary. Sometimes a teacher is given too many subjects even though in which he/she is not specialised, this needs to be improved
Internships Opportunities
College does not provide any sort of internship. We have to do it on over own and we have to show the internship certificates to college authorities. College does not provide any such internships.....
Fees and Financial Aid
When I completed my BALLB, the fees was Rs1,25,000 approx for Uttrakhand Domiciled students and Rs 1,50,000 for Non Domiciled. Now the fees is approx Rs3,00,000 rs yearly. There is nothing as such scholarship in this college. At time of admission fees there was some Registration fees and admission fees, which I don't remember. Fees was given twice in 1 Year i.e for each semester.
Campus Life
It has one of the best infrastructures in Uttarakhand. Facilities are top notch. Also level pf cleanliness and hygiene is maintained both in college and hostels. Sports events and extra curricular activities happen on regular basis, which is another positive of this college
Hostel Facilities
In hostel room, there was a single bed, with almirah. And table and chair. Washroom is not attached with rooms. Cleanliness is maintained but quality of food given in mess in not upto the mark. Although it is hygienic.
Admission
I applied only for this college and got admission. Many students of this college had already cracked judiciary which inclined me to choose this college over any other college. Also its infrastructure is quite good.
Faculty
There are almost 1500-2000 students in Law College Dehradun, around 30-35 are the faculty members, so the ratio in students and teachers is fine. Some faculty are very good like Mr Anjum Parvez, he specialises in teaching Evidence act and Mr Ashutosh, he specialises in teaching Political Science. Some teachers are not upto the mark considering the fees. Level of examination is mediocur, neither very tough nor easy
