Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course curriculum won't get you to what the industry expects. It is very old. Most of the subjects are irrelevant. The first year of the degree has literally no subject which will help us grow in any aspect. It is just a waste of time and energy. The college tries to provide industrial training but the level on which they teach is very low. A good CBSE/ICSE Board school may have taught its students the same things such as HTML, CSS or basics like how a loop works to their 11th or 12th standard or even below students.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

Internships are usually offered after the end of 2nd year. Most of the internships don't offer any pay and are simply labour. Students usually try to get internships on their own as the scenario is not good.

Placement Experience

2.5

Overall campus placements are majorly from the mass recruiter companies. This year TCS hired more than 250 students from packages ranging 3 to 6 lakhs. Some students made it to big companies like Atlassian but were put on hold or given an internship instead due to the poor job market. Highest packages were 44 Lakhs per annum and lowest around 2 to 3lakhs. Some students go unplaced too.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The college is affiliated to Dr APJ ABDUL KALAM TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (Formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University). The fees is decided by the university and is around ?1,32,600 per year. This includes all the charges as well as the security and book bank fees which are refundable. Approximately the fees comes out to be ?1,28,600 from second year onwards. Those who got the scholarship were refunded around ?58,000 for the year. There are various types of scholarships available.

Campus Life

0.5

First year students are not allowed to join any clubs apart from the Yoga club so it is very bad. The pressure from the club is too much for the student to cope up as the college timings and syllabus are rigid and the college only allows club activities on weekends or after college hours. Campus is not upto what many students dream of, it is a small place with no fancy classrooms or spots. Canteen food is okayish. There are two canteens and 3 stalls.

Admission

To be honest, I never really pictured myself studying here. I guess this is where destiny got me and everyday i suffer to get out of this. Overall life is hard as I have to travel a very long distance from home to college every day which eats up my 2 hours everyday. I applied to other colleges but my class 12th board percentage and JEE mains result was not too good to get me into my dream colleges. My father found this college to be good and near (not really) from home so I did not have to take a hostel or PG. I have a cousin who graduated from here from Electrical branch who also insisted I take admission here.

Faculty

1

The faculty to student ratio used to be good but now the college is taking excessive admissions. To be very honest more than the alloted seats in a branch which makes the whole experience a rat race. Faculty is very rigid and no excuses are allowed. Only a few of them try to understand students concern, others just fake it. They want you to stick to only what they teach and follow their methods only. The CS Department literally made a parents whatsapp group to literally inform the parents if their wards miss even a lecture. After all the curriculum and quality of education they provide can only get you to a mass recruiter company. You have to be very very smart in order to get into your dream company as the faculty wont be too supportive to let you miss any classes or take any day off. They will suck your blood if you cross that and i'm not even exaggerating.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not that good. Hardly 2-3 companies come here for foodtech. But there are job opportunities for this course. It is a growing field. Outside the campus, if applied in any company, there are chances of selection based on the skills and knowledge one has related to the field

The records placement cell is impressive because they organize useful and up-to-date seminars from time to time. Therefore the placement record is one of the best in Greater Noida. Last year was 98% placement. Placements start from the 7th semester.
