DAV College the best college in Chandigarh tricity.

There is specially two auditorium. If the department have to organise something for their students they organise the workshop where great speakers is also invited. The timing for the exam is 3 hours for semester exams and 1:30 hour for mid semester exams.

After 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements. I don't know about the companies name but . But recently some companies were visited our college and take the placements. I think 55 to 60 % students getting placements. I will prepare for civil services after graduation.

The fees has to pay during admission is 20000 for Bechalor of arts( BA) . There are examination fees you have to give it later through the college portel. There is no decrement of the fees for SC/ST. All categories have same fees structure. Lab fees included in that 20000 fees also. When you fill the college admission form you have toh pay 800 rs. There is a scholarship where you get your all yearly fees if your parents annual fees is less then 100000.

There were mainly the one function happens in our college and that is Karavaan in which famous singer or celebrity are invited for the performance and the students also participate in bunch of performance. For sports there is special ground for cricket, handball, volleyball, basketball and indoor for the badminton. Alumini of our college are NEERAJ CHOPRA AND MANU BHAKAR.

There are two types of room one is AC and another is NoN Ac. Ac rooms has extra charges like 10000 extra of hostel fees. Meal quality is excellent and hygiene is also good. Registration process for hostel is by filling form through dav College portel. There is nearby 15 sector where you will get easily rooms and Pg. If you want cheaper then at a distance of 3-4 km there is Nayagaon where you can take room . From there you have to come with rikshaw or Bus.

I had got 75% in 12th standard thats why other colleges cutoff were high. Dav college cutoff was some how 60 to 65. I have decided earlier to go toh DAV College. I have beleive that i would get admission in Dav easily thats why i didn't apply for other colleges. The admission Process for our college is by just applying their form after they approve your documents they just call you for physical document verification and admission is done.

Every department has good number of faculty. Thats why students is diveded into several groups. So the teacher can teach properly. For BA course All the faculty are good. Our college has semester system thats why there is 4 exam happen in a year of a course. The exams are two of them are Mid semester test(Mst) and another two are semester exams.
