Overall review

I applied to literally every top Polytechnic colleges in Mumbai. I had a confirmed admiiin Kala Vidyamandir, Malad but it's a really really bad college and its in the middle of nowhere. I chose VP over all colleges as it is the best polytechnic college in Mumbai. It has unmatched amenities. Even SBMP, Vile Parle which is triple the fees has lesser amenities. I got rejected from other colleges due to less marks in 10th grade. Saraswati Polytechnic, Kharghar offered a donation seat but we are very against this. The admission process is quite easy. We have to apply to it through CAP rounds which is a centralised admission process by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. They also have a facilitation centre built in to guide you through the process and verify documents. They also have an institute quota based on merit for admission. The cutoff is 85% but I have seen students with about 75-80% too in the college....Read More

The admissions are actually pretty easy, there is not a huge cut off to get into this course, there are no entrance exams, the application process is a little complicated but you have to go through this in any college so it is not much of a problem. I'm SC so my seat was reserved and it was not a complicated process at all. The staffs here were very helpful. We can apply for admission at MSBTE portal online. As SC there were benefits that I gained such as I was provided with free books and the 0 fees. The exams were held frequently so that students are able to prepare themselves for the finals. There no any entrance exam is taken for admission. All admission is on basis of cap round and non cap round (management).for lateral entry mean direct second year admission eligibility criteria are 12th pass out or ITI certification with min 40% .and for admission in 1 st year eligibility criteria is 10th pass out with min 40%. The admission process is online. Admission process held under observation of msbte. Per year fees are minimum of 65250+exam fees and other fees(600). You can get benefits if you have some reservation quota like ews,obc and sc/nt. and also if your family annual income is under 1 lakh and 7 lakh.
