Likes
- Vidyalankar polytechnic serves good education and sets higher standards for the students. In my 3 years diploma in IT they've taught me alot. My problem solving skills have become good because they organise a lot of brainstorming events.
- The final year project experience was really very good. Vidyalankar helds a project exhibition where every student gets the chance to showcase their project and their talent.
- There are a lot of events organized by the college such as tech seminar, hackathon, debate. And also for the cultural events where students are able to enjoy a lot.
Dislikes
- The location is always a problem, it's so crowded and busy all the time.
- Sometimes it was too strict like once we were told that the students of VP were not allowed to sit in the canteen.
- The time table was very much fluctuating, students were getting confused most of the time.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was good in computer subject in my school and was always curious about it that's the major reason I got into this course. The curriculum here makes our base powerful and also curious about the recent technology. The improvement that should be done is that there's a lot of holidays between one exam we have almost 10-12 days of leave after one exam which kills the motivation inside the students.
Internships Opportunities
After the 4th semester students must compulsory do an internship. The college provides internships opportunities different companies come for interview. Students help in building a project which is being built by the company or build an individual project. Which helps them learn a lot. I was also provided with internship opportunity by the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete cost of course is Rs 65,500. But as I fall in SC caste I didn't had to pay any fees. I was provided a scholarship. There are placement opportunities for final semester students which can provide upto 5LPA. Companies like Infosys comes to the campus and take interviews. Students can opt for job or degree.
Campus Life
Large number of books were available in the library for students. In a classroom there's a smart board which makes learning technical stuff easier and also 3 air conditioners. There's almost a week long sports week every year with different games for students to participate. Navratri was held every year and also VERVE is the event held by the college where all the cultural events took place.
Admission
I'm SC so my seat was reserved and it was not a complicated process at all. The staffs here were very helpful. We can apply for admission at MSBTE portal online. As SC there were benefits that I gained such as I was provided with free books and the 0 fees. The exams were held frequently so that students are able to prepare themselves for the finals. There's no improvement requ8in the admission process it is all good.
Faculty
There are different faculties for different departments. And all the faculty here are certified. Interactions with faculty was never difficult they are very humble and always there to guide the students. Even the HOD here was very interactive with every class. In final year project each group was given a mentor where they helped a lot to the students to build the project. The practical teaching was on point, teachers solve doubts of the students individual and never hesitate. Overall the faculty is good and approachable.
