What Students Say
Likes
- I loved the campus. Its spread wide with a great view and its surrounded by small mountains and grenery
- Facilities like wifi, purified water, security and surveillance, seperate areas for sports, gym
- The staff and faculty is very cooperative and supportive. They are very gentle while communicating. They have helped in all terms like my academics and all
Dislikes
- I hated the tight and long schedule. Each lecture lasts for approx one and half hour. Which i feel is too long and exhausting.
- Few faculty members are arrogant and argue a lot
- The syllabus is quite a lot. I personally feel like few subjects are not so practical or related to my field
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is hard but interesting and very relevant to my course. If you study well enough and plan it well. You,ll find it very interesting. Java and microprocessor programming are the subjects i liked the most since its very interesting and i find it very useful for the job. There is no need for improvement in the curriculum. Its totally relevant to my course. Only thing i dont like much is the rough schedule. 7 lectures per day with each lecture lasting for around 1 and half hour which is a lot and its exhausting. Tests are held regularly. Sometimes once a week and sometimes once a month. The most important exam is the one that is conducted at the end of every semester. Those scores matter a lot
Internships Opportunities
College offers internship in third year. They offered me one by proazure company. I accepted it and i,ll be joining soon. Its not a paid internship. They makes apps and user interfaces for apps. Students can get paid internships too if they did well in academics
Placement Experience
Placements are not so good. In order to get a good package you must have a good cgpa around 7-8. If you have a good cgpa. You can get a good job offer with a annual pay for 5-6 lakhs. I plan to do btech/be after diploma. That,ll help me get a good placement. I can do btech here only if i manage to get enough percentage in my final year. If i couldn't i plan to get admission in keystone school of engineering which is a good college for engineering degree. Mostly infotech and proazure hire the most. There are other companies too. Around 60 percent students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 18000 for admission. Since i got admission through cap and got reservation benefits too. I got scholarship of 45000 from which i paid that fees. And the rest i got for other expenses. For general category the fees is around 80000 including everything library fee and all. Sc category students can also avail for swadhar scheme. The scheme gives them around 60000rs per year
Campus Life
Campus life is good and it is how i thought it,d be like. A lot of events are conducted onces or twice a month. The most recent one was udaan. It was a college gathering. There was food and dance shows etc. sports events are conducted too. The one i liked was esports event. Competition is held in between groups of students. I participated in free fire. It felt great and i enjoyed it. There is a huge ground in the campus and a gym and a separate area for sports like shooting, a libraby and few well equipped computer labs. There are student run clubs too like chess club, shooting club, football club
Admission
I actually could,ve gotten a better college. But i didnt had much information about colleges in pune and im very new to this city. Few friends who were pursuing their degrees in zeal told me about this college and i found it really good. But i feel sad for not going for better college. I could,ve gotten into sinhgad which i think is a really good college. But this one is good too. I didnt look for other colleges. I applied to this college via government cap rounds which start in may/june. I had 70 percent in 12th. I selected this college and few others. Then i got the mail about the college few days after applying through online govt site for diploma. Admission process was really smooth. They notify us to bring specific documents like the cap round pdfs and caste certificate, caste validity.
Faculty
Most of the faculty members are cooperative only a few like the hod of my department are a bit arrogant. Rest are very helpful and they,ve helped me with my academics. Faculty is approachable but if you keep asking for help very frequently they might get a bit irritated and that would backfire on you. The best teacher in terms of teaching for me is adinath puri sir they teach us java. Their teaching methods are very practical and they make sure to focus on each and every point of the subject. All the faculty is well qualified and teach good. There are total of 5 subjects each semester. Mathematics for machine learning, microprocessor programming, java programming, data communication and networks, environmental education. I found mathematics and microprocessor programming hard. But if you work hard on those you can clear those subjects too. Each semester lasts 6 months. In which regular tests are held. And a main exam at the end of the semester. Its not hard if you study well enough. Most of the students pass out but a few do fail and they are not permitted for the next year. The course curriculum is very relevant to my course
Interview Experience
At the time of admission. We approached a staff member he took us and gave us a campus tour and he showed us the classrooms, libraby, the canteen etc. he then asked for all the required documents which included caste certificate, the cap round document, caste validity and income certificate. It was easy and smooth
Night Life
College campus has a library. It is my favourite place. It closes at 8 pm. Same timing for the gym. The gym is well equipped. You can enter campus on anytime from 6am to 8pm after that the gates are closed and the premises is under cctv surveillance 24/7. The locality is not so safe to hangout at night. Stray dogs are spread all around the areas which get aggressive at nights
