Course Curriculum Overview

4

The first year is hardly relevant for Computer engineering students. It's way more relevant for mechanical and civil engineering students. The second year is more important since it only has the subjects that will be required by the respective student of said course. For computer engineering students, they get to learn coding in different languages and making web pages etc. The course is not too difficult and a students can score well if he/she studied.

Placement Experience

4

As I have heard people mostly get placements from this college itself. If not they go for their degrees and take placement there. The salary is mostly around 5 lakhs per annum which is decent enough for most students. According to the principal from the college if a student studies afterwards for degrees this number racks up to 18 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for general students is around 76k yearly. I am currently taking admission under EWS (Economically weaker section) for which my parents salary has to be less than 8 lakhs. This way I have to pay 42k fees yearly. For girl students under EWS they make tution fees to be free so they pay 8k. For Caste like SC, ST, OBC, VJNT they pay 7k yearly. Tution fees is approximately around 32k and 8k is admission, lab, etc fees combined the rest 2k was for admission purpose.

Campus Life

4

The college has several events like hackathon. They set these events in such a manner so that their studies are not affected. Also the students run donation campaigns in the college like money, rice, blood, etc. The only problem are those students who do not behave properly in class and also expect other students to join them. They can create trouble in class sometimes which causes disturbance for most of the students and even teachers.

Admission

In my area that is vasai everyone says it is the best college. I was also suggested this college by my relative who also went to the same college with the same course. Also this college is highly regarded in my area.

Faculty

5

There are plenty of faculties ready to help the students at any time. They will also speak in English, Hindi or Marathi as requested by the student. The staff is very friendly. As for the exam system we have a three year course. In each semester they keep 2 class tests that are made by a seperate faculty than our teaching faculty. This test is then checked and the average of one subject in both the tests is added into the final semester marks. The end of semester has 850 marks maximum. For the first year the course curriculum is not very relevant for most of the courses except for mechanical and civil but after 1st year it is very relevant as they also let us experience at different job sites and also teach various things that are actually regarding our course and line of work.

Night Life

4

At night time the area around the college is still busy and a little crowded since it's close to the station. It's not really scary to walk alone in. There are also mcdonalds, burgerkings and many other restaurants around the college. The station is also just a 4 minute walk from the college.

Other Applied Colleges

Viva College of Diploma Engineering & Technology | Diploma in Computer Engineering

The students that go there are not friendly and mostly are not well behaved so studying there will be very hard

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 4th sem. Many companies visit and at least one person is hired by every company. Companies from UAE and international companies also make offers. Highest package was 9 lpa and average is 3.5-4 lpa. Only 5-10% students go for a job, others go for higher studies. I am too looking for a part time job with continuing higher studies. Overall the campus placement is good for students looking for a good job and pay. Most get hired as Assistant engineers.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not so good. In order to get a good package you must have a good cgpa around 7-8. If you have a good cgpa. You can get a good job offer with a annual pay for 5-6 lakhs. I plan to do btech/be after diploma. That,ll help me get a good placement. I can do btech here only if i manage to get enough percentage in my final year. If i couldn't i plan to get admission in keystone school of engineering which is a good college for engineering degree. Mostly infotech and proazure hire the most. There are other companies too. Around 60 percent students get placed.
