Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I will be totally honest, i didnt research about this course and opted for it without thinking and one year into studying it i realised i have no interest in Electronics and telecommunications, i would suggest to opt for this course only if you are truly interested in electronics and how things work. There are a lot of areas for improvement, one of the important things are the practicals, students have to write all the practicals one by one which becomes hectic and leaves no time for the students to actually understand it, in other courses student just have to upload the doccuments to the cloud which looks more understandable and less hectic

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The internships are not much of a choice, as per the MSBTE board you have to enroll in an internship after completing your second year. It is better if you find your own company to take an internship in, the companies offered by the college are very poor, you would have to go and do the same work every day for 40 days, it completely depends on how the company is, some companies are good but not all of them. At the end of your 5th sem you have to be ready with your final year project, the topic could be anything but it should be related to your course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

You can apply for scholarships depending on your financial state, the college provides a gpod help in this, placements are also available after diploma but the package is not at all good, it makes sense because you dont have that much knowledge after diploma

Campus Life

2.5

Personally i have never enjoyed my time in the college socially, there are many events in the college but dont expect it to be too flashy, these are normal low budget events. It totally depends on you if you fit in this socially. The campus is something which can be appreciated, the college has a huge campus with a lot of places to just sit and chill. Library facilities are also good, you can get previous years question and answer papers which helped me a lot personally

Admission

The admissions are actually pretty easy, there is not a huge cut off to get into this course, there are no entrance exams, the application process is a little complicated but you have to go through this in any college so it is not much of a problem. I dont think it needs any improvement in this matter

Faculty

2

There are two answers to this question, yes there are a lot of professors who are very helpful and can guide you right but at the same time there are some who would not help you that much, no hate to the professors i am just talking about my personal experiance, every group of students are allotted a mentor who you can go to if u are facing any problems. But only some mentors actually help you. The teaching techniques are good by some professors but also totally opposite by some other professors.

Placements are the best in the college. Students in Third year are applicable for placement. The highest package till now was 7LPA and average was 4LPA. Almost 70% of students got placement in our department. And some students were like they wanted to complete degree so they didn't apply for placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would really recommend taking diploma in engineering if you are locked in and sure you want to do engineering after 10th, as it covers half of the degree syllabus and isn't as hectic as giving entrance exams like sat and jee. They also don't have useless subjects and give a really good background about technical stuff from day 1.
