Atharva College

Students' life in this college is easier since the attendance is not as strict compared to other colleges. But the faculty and seriousness among the pupils about technology, engineering, and scopes as a whole could have been pushed a little higher than it used to be.

Entrance Exam

The course contains pretty interesting subjects. Coding is the core skill here, every student needs to learn it well. Logic is most important when it comes to coding. There are subjects where we new coding languages and software like Ubuntu, Linux.

Yes our college does provide with internships. There is a tnp cell for internship related queries. But I don't have any experience of it because I haven't applied for an internship in my college.

The placements are pretty high. There are companies visiting our college during the fourth year i.e. BE The tnp cell provides much of the information regarding the job placement process and the interview preparations.

All kinds of events were celebrated in Atharva. The cultural festival 'Rhythm' the technical fest 'Techithon'. Apart from that, there are IEEE, CSI and Ember E-cell chapters for the technical and entrepreneurial seminars and events. The college also has its own Ganpati celebration wherein the Students from the fourth year of engineering bring the Ganpati for a period of 5-7 days. The college also has their own auditorium for drama, dance and fashion events.

Feasible compared to other colleges in town. The fees are quite reasonable for the kind of infrastructure provided. Considering the lab facilities and overall environment Atharva has a competitive and affordable fee structure.

I am not aware since I did not avail of this facility. But I have been associated with a few people who availed the fee waiver and scholarship facility based on certain criteria. The process could be tedious but it can be availed.

Many sports teams including basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, baseball, etc play in intercollegiate and inter University sports meets every year. Students participate in every sport with great enthusiasm. The labs have good infrastructure and well be equipped.

The college doesn't have it's own attached hostel. The canteen has good food. Ranging from snacks to Chinese and south Indian food. There are 2 canteens spread across the campus. The rates are average. The Chinese and roti sabzi is pretty amazing.

Seniors are helpful, friendly and approachable from the 1st day of college. The seniors provide advice and guidance whenever asked for. The social networking on the campus is on the high side because of the many events and fests in the college.

It is the same as prescribed by the Mumbai University. Before the semester exams, there are midterm exams, submissions of the practical files and little internal viva before the actual practicals and external viva for all the subjects. There are projects in the fourth year.

I got my admission in this college through online institute allotment. We first need to fill up the form for admission for various courses in a particular college. According to our entrance exam score, we are alloted the respective colleges as per their cut-offs.

The faculty here is very helpful and creative. Doubts are always clarified. The faculty members are co-opertive and helpful. They are available whenever needed. The teachers and students have a good understanding.
