Remarks

Positive remakes are that college is at the good and central location of the city, the good playground is also a plus point and also a quiet large campus. Negative remarks are that infrastructure is not that good, mobile network is not at all present inside the main building, no WiFi and the crowd is from rural parts of Maharashtra so not much freshness and positivity on the campus.

Entrance Exam

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is quite similar to all other colleges under Pune University as the university had given same guidelines to all the colleges. No extra or somewhat different curriculum is been applied in the college. Though the attendance is strict over here especially in the Civil Branch rest of the branches are relax. Minimum 75% is compulsory or you have to write the makeup lectures or in serious case you have to call your parents.

Internships Opportunities

The internship program is provided only to the Production Sandwich brach as it is included in their syllabus. Rest branches are not provided with an internship. But from the last 2 years, some random students are selected for internship on first come first serve basis in the Civil Department. But they all are been given internship only for a maximum of 1 month that also in holidays and by the personal contacts of some professors and they are not provided with by stipend.

Placement Experience

2

Placement and job opportunities are too good for all branches except Civil and Mechanical Branch. Computer and IT has almost 70% placement percentage whereas for Civil and mechanical it is 0%. None of the students from the civil department has been placed through campus placement for the last 2-3 years and the management is not at all serious about it.

College Events

3.5

The event is pretty good at the college. Every year two cultural events named Shivanjali and Ashwamedh are held at college. Shivanjali is a college sponsor event and Ashwamedh is by the external sponsors. They both are held in the month of February every year. Also, a technical event is been conducted on the inter college level know as ET (Engineering Today) in the month of September every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is quite expensive for general categories i.e 1,10,000-1,15,000 but for other categories, it is cheap as up to 1000 as the government gives a scholarship to them. Also, the fees are less for people from Jammu and Kashmir which is nearly just 25,000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No extra scholarship or loan is offered by the college except the scholarships of State Government. But the scholarship department of the college which helps students in filling forms of various government scholarship is too friendly and helpful. They are there up to 6 pm and offer personal help to all the students.

Campus Life

3

Extracurricular activities are not much good in college because the college administration focuses only on attendance. But sports facilities are too good in college. Two big grounds are there for students. Basketball, Cricket, and Football are the most popular and sponsored sports of college. Also inter department competitions are held and inter college is held during the Ashwamedh festival. Labs are quite good in all departments. The cultural group of college is also too active and good going, you can dance, do drama, play Various instruments there a special music room is also provided by the college which has all the amenities and facilities loaded.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is good but it is not on the campus of the college. It is somewhat 10 km from college at the Parvati area. The bus facility is been provided by the college but has to pay extra for that. And the mess of the hostel is not that good. So students prefer to live outside on a rental basis as there are many near the college.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not that good in college you need to keep the personal contacts with them if needed. The alumni department of the college is not at all helpful to that. But the alumni are very good as most are from a political background and now running their own businesses. Also, there are many who are good at jobs.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is as per the guidelines of Pune University. But some extra tests are been taken by some professors according to there will. But Prelim exams are held compulsory for every department and branch before the Semester exams of University. Also, preliminary Project reviews are been conducted.

Admission

After passing the 12th (HSC) exam from the science stream I went for JEE Mains. The result considered for the selection process was the combination of both HSC and JEE Mains, the total combined result was in the form of percentile. The as the CAP procedure started, I went up for it and filled the form by first doing DTE registration. Filling the priority list of colleges I got selected in AISSMS COE.

Faculty

4

Faculty is quite good but not as it was expected and meant to be. Very few can communicate in fluent English. But knowledge wise all are good. Every department has 3-4 such professors who are too good at communication skills and also the teaching skills. The rest are average in teaching skills. All of them hold the master's degree in there respective filed so they know pretty much about there subjects.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
