What Students Say
Likes
- A large campus area of about 320 acres having a big central playground, a multipurpose hall and enough hostels for girls and boys seperate. The college is surrounded by lush green environment making it a healthy place to study.
- Attendance is not an issue in this college. flexible timings for class. Less lectures as compared to other private engineering colleges.Students get enough time to prepare for other competitive exams and can explore their own interests.
- The college has multiple councils and subcouncils for students to explore their hobbies and interests. And improve their skills. Students can join sub councils of their interest, and learn something new .
Dislikes
- Faculty is not supportive . Students have to manage everything by themselves. Th faculty does not teaches well but the assignments and ppts given by the professors are enough for clearing th class tests as well as semester exams.
- The condition of hostels is not good . They have not been renovated for many years.
- The placements are not good . Very few Companies visit the college because the faculty is not supportive .
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum is enough for the students to gain theoretical as well as pratical knowledge about their domain. Each subject in the curriculum has some real world applications of it. In my opinion the course curriculum is good it needs no improvement but Teachings method should be improved.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are not good . As I have mentioned above that a very few companies visit the campus for placements because the faculty is not supportive . Companies like L&T , Planet Spark , instant systems, impledge etc. come for placements . Highest package offered was 10 LPA this year. And average package was 5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET), Jhansi, varies depending on the student's admission category, as well as the year of admission. Below is a detailed breakdown of the fee structure, scholarship details, and the fees paid over the course of the study, based on the general information provided for various categories: 1. Fee Structure Breakdown (Yearly) for BIET, Jhansi General/OBC Category Tuition Fees: Rs. 70,000 per year Caution Money (Refundable): Rs. 10,000 (paid during the first year only) Registration Fees: Rs. 500 per year Admission Fees: Rs. 1,000 (one-time payment during admission) Development Fees: Rs. 6,000 per year Lab Fees: Rs. 4,000 per year Exam Fees: Rs. 2,500 per semester (around Rs. 5,000 yearly) Other Miscellaneous Charges: Rs. 3,000 per year (includes sports, library, and cultural activities) Total Fees Per Year for General/OBC Category: First Year: Rs. 94,500. Campus Life
Overall I a can say that campus life is good not better . Except Placements , in all other aspects the campus life is good. There are enough opportunities for sports and extra-curricular activities which help improve student's personalities.
Hostel Facilities
There are enough hostels ,seperately for both boys and girls but the hostels are not maintained throughout the years that's why there condition is not good but space is enough for hostels as well as academics.
Admission
I have got a rank of 42398 in jee mains. So I was not able to get core branches in iits or nits. So I applied for upsee counselling and I knew that top 3 colleges of up state engineering colleges are IET ,BIET and KNIT . I wanted Computer Science branch so at my rank I was getting computer science in BIET Jhansi. So I choose this college. Admission process is simple your rank have to be in the rank list issued by the UPSEE counselling. And then you have to report physically at the college .
Faculty
The Faculty are enough for each subjects and faculty to student ratio is good. But the faculties are not so supportive and also does not teach the whole subject content and student faculties relationship is not good. An Assistant Professor Shashank Gupta is a good faculty . He has also a good bond with the students. He teaches students well. And adopts new methods to teach students. The subjects are as usual and the content of each subject is available easily over the internet. So about 90% of students get passed easily with decent CGPA .
