Course Curriculum Overview
We have very good course curriculum that which will boost our knowledge and intrest to become a data science enthusiast. They provide us real time experience in using technology like powerbi, machine learning, deeplearning, cnn, knn which will make us job ready. I suggest them to update to new technologies and teaching techniques. We have 2 mid semester exams and one final exam in the end of semester. And we can easily pass if we have studied at least 2 units.
Placement Experience
Yes, Jbiet do provide placements but not much as we expect and also lesser than other colleges. All students from 7 th semester and 8th semester are eligible for placements. Last year we have 5-6 companies visited to our college and 50-60 students were placed. Highest package was 10 Lpa offered by ZERO CODE HR and average is 3 Lpa. Only around 25% people will be placed and i want to pursue my master in data science after nyy graduation
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
My college has college fee of 96000/- for each student i.e for 2021 batch and from 2022 they have increased fees to 110000 and all students who are admited through convenor quota will eligible for fee Remebursment and government will pay 35000/- to college behalf of student and for sc and st students it'll will. Full fee and also for people who have graduated their 12 th from government college. Apart from this every semester we have to pay 1100/- for exam registration and 4500/- for lifeskills, 10,000/- for library (one time) , miscellaneous fees sometimes upto 5000. Students can apply for scholarship provided by state government ( eligibility criteria) and also for national scholarship
Campus Life
Campus is very chill and they'll give you more than needed which allows students to bunk classes easily but now they started to become strict. And we have many clubs such as SAC JBIET, Nss etc... And we have INXS ( annual day fest) , traditional days, placement day fest etc... Also jbiet conducts AARAMBH ( STATE LEVEL SPORTS FEST) and all this were student run clubs in which students organize the events and arrange everything which help us to improve our self
Hostel Facilities
I actually live nearby college in a rented apartment (1BHK) with my 3 friends. Which cost us 3k each for rent i.e 12k rent per month including electricity and maintainance. And 2000 for groceries and food. I live in aziz nagar which is 5km away from college
Admission
I got less rank in emcet and after my research I'm eligible only for some college in which jbiet have some edge and also i have one of my cousins already got passed out from jbiet and working in a mnc so chose this over other colleges. It's not rejection but in counseling i got this college first based on my eligibility criteria and i chose to fix to this college. We have to get a minimum of 70k below rank in emcet (for BC students) and varies with year, caste, etc..
Faculty
Jbiet have a good student faculty ratio. We have 10 faculty for every 100 students. I especially mention faculty of Aiml department they're Dr. Arun Thomas Sampaul (Hod Aiml) , Dr. satish kumar (professor) , Beulah J kartikeyan (Ass.professor)etc.. Coming to exams we have 40 subject in whole 4 years each subject has 3 credits and total of 120 credits . And they grades based on marks scored in the exam of 100 in which 70 is external and 30 is internal same applies for lab examinations pass percentage of our department is 70% and 30% people has more than 5 backlogs
Other Applied Colleges
Guru Nanak Institute of Technology - [GNIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Not having enough rank to eligible for admission
