Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is prepared by the state university Ccsu so it is a bit old fashioned the procedural law is taught in the later years of the course but is they are taught in the yearly years they would be helpful in the internships. Hence one has to learn them on its own. There is no IPR classes that take place since IPR is such a big part of the legal field it should be taught whole heartedly. Now the syllabus can be changed. On issue that we faced was there was to be a class of drafting which we opted for but it never happened and there was no explanation from the side of the college as well. Other than that the syllabus is pretty vast and with self study, thorough reading and deep understanding of the subject one can prepare themselves for the real world experience.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships are diverse providing students to pursue internships with the government bodies such as NHRC,NWC etc. the students are also provided the opportunities to take part in internship with various chambers of the advocated from the Hon'ble HC and the Hon'ble SC. There are corporate internship opportunities as well from tier 2 law firms and other companies.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are offered by the college but in a limited way and only the top 10% students are allowed to sit in them because that's what the recruiter wants. The internship department of the college however provides vast variety of internships and hslps the students in getting them. The cell is responsible for the practical skill development of the students and the students find it helpful and the exposure of ofcourse allows them to create contacts and relationships with the companies and the chambers to further and also to secure a placement by showcasing their skillset

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per year is 2,20,000 which translates to 1,10,000 per semester. Now the scholarship scene is such that one can get maximum 50% scholarship which will reduce yearly fees from 2,20,000 to 1,10,000 followed by 35%, 25%, and 10%. The criteria to maintain the school is one should have 80% attendance per year and 55% marks in the semester examinations. The other scholarships that are available are the EWS(economically weaker sections) and other scholarships programs that are run by the UP government. The law students are provided with various subscription services such as SCC, TURNITIN and others as well. The students from states such as the north eastern states and West Bengal had scholarships from their state governments some even had a 100% scholarship one can check this availability. The wards of armed forces are also provided with a specific percentage of scholarship. Now the scholarship can be availed by your CLAT score DULLB score for the 3 year program your 12th score.

Campus Life

4

The program Umang is held in the college which invites various artists and this is a very good initiative by the college that allows students to blow off some steam. There are sports events that take place each semester and students are encouraged to take part in them and to gel well with their peers. The students run a legal aid clinic that does all the jobs that a legal aid cell does. The main attractions are the debate society and the moot court society that are helpful in gaining confidence.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel was named Aryan Residency it was a awesome hostel the rooms were beautiful with CENTRALISED AC and the rooms were cleaned regularly. The gym was awesome one need not go to any other gym. The wifi had great speed and connectivity. The only downside side was that the quality of food was not consistent. At the time of admission the food quality improved but in later times the quality decreased.

Admission

I gave CLAT I wanted to get in to top 5 NLU'S but I was not able to because of which my confidence took a hit but when I analysed this I realised the lapses in my preparation and had I prepared more I would have made it to the dream colleges. I cleared exam for JGLU and SLS but due to financial constraints I was not able to attend them.

Faculty

5

There were 45 students in every class and we have 3 lectures in a day starting from 8:00-9:30 then half an hour break the from 10:00AM TO 11:30AM another half an hour break and then from 12:00-01:30 PM. An internals exams are held every semester that is divided in 2 parts your written exams and your professor assigned projects. The results of these internals is reflected in your attendance record and not in any marks. The semester exams are conducted by the parent university that's CCSU the semester exams are not difficult they can be prepared for in 1 month one need command on their handwriting and answer writting skills. These exams are conducted one every semester and shall be marked as of moderate difficulty. The faculty is very approachable and friendly they are available to you at all times in the office hours ofcourse and will help you in every way that they can.

Interview Experience

5

No, there happens a interview but I got admission from my CLAT rank. I never had to write any tests or give any interview. The process is diverse providing students with a safe plan B in the form of this college.

Placement Experience:

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

Placement Experience:

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Therefore I had to find it on my own just like half of our batch has to as less than half were placed. LLM is also going on in my mind but that is only if I am able to get in top colleges or will continue to serve as a lawyer.
