Remarks

The best college to be a part of when the score in the entrance exam is average the management is strict with its approach to students in usage of mobiles but the faculty makes up for it with their friendly behaviour.

Entrance Preview

PGCET was the entrance exam taken to get into this college machine design is the most widely chosen course to be taking up in M.tech i also had choices of manufacturing and thermal but my desire lies in designing and hence the course my score is 5000 in my PGCET and hence made the decision to join this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was very well structured with the lecturers being truly dedicated and well informed about their jobs they talked to us as friends and we could connect very well with them the curriculum has 4 sems with 5 subjects in each semester with a project in the 4th semester.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship in PROMAC limited in the design department though no money was offered the imparting of knowledge was immense. This gave me a proper base to do my project in the final semester. The referrel for the internship came through my friend and not from the college.

Placement Experience

3

The placements happened to the computer science students and people in M.tech were left out this year though we were invited to sofware companies like wipro. The package offered to them was 3.5 lakh per annum. There was also LnT Ltd for the mechanical students with a package of 4.5 lakh per anum.

College Events

3.5

We had a college fest every year along with talent's day which helped us remove any stage fear we had activities like bowling, slow riding on bike, singing, golf, table tennis, chess etc used to be the major draw. The fest was good with real good performances there is a huge college ground where these happened.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is the best part as everything is cheap. There is a schlorship program for poor students and the acoomodation is also cheap fee = Rs 84000 per year which is cheap for M.tech when compared to other colleges also stifund is given if the entrance exam taken is GATE.

Fees and Financial Aid

My classmates have taken scholorship which is given by the VTU for SC/ST's this almost pays for the whole fees for engineering but there is a delay in these payments by around 3 months many banks offers loan very easily for this course.

Campus Life

4.5

There are equal number of girls and boys in the college with participation in group discussions and debates happening during talent' s day the campus is always thriving with students throughout the year for workshops and industrial visit we were taken once a year in college bus to various factories around the college the library is open almost 12 hrs during exams many students from different religion used to come here with all diversity equally respected.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The facilities in the hostels are average with routine scheduled food structure with a different meal on sundays. There are geysers for bathing and the flooring is mosaic there are tables for study and a TV to watch for students the are many shops around

Alumni/Alumna

We meet on our own in restaurants once in a while our seniors are still in contact with us the placement officer has our contact details and calls us for functions or fests through mail our seniors still visit us and they still visit during fests.

Exam Structure

The exam is scheduled by the VTU who conduct it once every 4 months to pass on to the next sem which would usually have around 5 subjects. The marks for each paper is 125 with an additional 50 for internals which used to happen thrice every semester and b

Placement Experience:

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.

This is the best part. The whole point of niat program is to get a study for the job. It's not like the old system where you chill for 3 years and panic in the 4th year. All the learning here are very different. From the first day itself we will be doing coding.
