What Students Say
Likes
- I really liked how big and welcoming the campus was with people always ready to help you there and they’re generally very open and friendly
- The attention to the environment as my college has it’s own green belt and it looks very decent with all the trees and plants it’s a nice place to walk
- It has a very positive study environment which I really look for
Dislikes
- A minority of faculty is usually arrogant and would not help you with trouble as much
- The distance and the area the college is located is really in the middle of nowhere
- The college does not have it’s own transport system
Course Curriculum Overview
There is absolutely nothing too much to explain about the coursw curriculum as it's very normal and there are no changes needed but it's compulsory to get an internship in your third year as you have to make a minor project report based on your internship. I wish it was implied in the 2nd year itself because then I would've been able to save a lot of time looking for internships now when i have so much to do
Internships Opportunities
Some of the companies that did come this year were : TCS (TATA consultancy services) : wipro : infosys : HCL technologies : cognizant etc These companies offered roles such as data analyst interns, software developer, business analyst etc. the projects and outcomes are as followings : developing a mobile application for internal use and improved internal communication (TCS) : analyzing customer data to analyse trends and things that help in marketing strategy (Wipro) : conducting market research for a new product launch (infosys) : testing a new software and identifying the bugs in it and clearing it (cognizant). In conclusion these are some of the companies that did come and offered such roles with the projects and outcomes given. More such companies are expected to give out opportunities in my college soon
Placement Experience
The placements in my college can be pretty average and not those high paying packeges. Plus it's also very merit based. After your 3rd semester you are definitely eligible for campus placements. The highest package I've seen in maims was 15 lakhs. And this was given to someone with a decent gpa but a very good co curriculur activities such as being the club president or being a representative of a group. I have not been placed yet as my course is still ongoing.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly i pay my fees during the end of each semester around august-September and it barely exceeds 1 lac 37 thousand rupees. The tution fee is ?104800 and the other fees includes ?32000. Similarly in other courses and subjects in MAIMS thr fee structure is different. For example. B.com(hons) : ?1.43 lakhs BBALLB(hons) : ?1.43 lakhs BAJMC : ?1.37 lakhs BA(hons) : ?1.32 lakhs
Campus Life
The campus life is very very engaging and can even distract you if you're not careful. People are very friendly. There is a place we call it "stands" and mostly all the students are there having fun and chilling after classes etc. You can see a bunch of posters for the coming events that will happen in the near future around the campus and notice boards. Events are such a benefit to students with their specific clubs as they can help in participating in making stalls and generating revenue in the campus during the event. Etc
Admission
Before MAIMS i was in rukmini devi (RDIAS) pitampura IPU and it was such a small college it almost felt like a school where you had to be in certain places at a certain given time and it was very strict and not a free working environment. That's why i opted for MAIMS in the spot round 2 of my councilling and got it. You just have to fill a form and show the bill receipt to the faculty members that are assigned for the admission work and i was enrolled. It was so easy i did it on my own
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is somewhat around 1:60. The student-faculty relationship totally depends on the amount of attendance percentage you have. They take a very minimalistic approach with students with lesser attendance compared to higher ones. But some of the faculties are approachable and very helpful. My favourite faculty member was tanu sir. He was our class teacher during the first year. The faculty member I didn't really specifically was Deepak dagar. He is the class coordinator. In a year there are four minor exams and two major ones and it's usually very easy as some of the subjects require quantity not quality. It means you have to at least write 15-16 pages to do at least average in that paper. The online syllabus really helps with the course curriculum and what to study in less amount of time
