ICFAI Dehradun needs a lot more appreciation!!

ICFAI University Dehradun law program is such that it prepares you for global competition. It's been a hard curve as studies are tough as we have moots every semester and besides that long classes and mandatory internships. Above all exams happens twice every month so this makes law from ICFAI, leaving no margin of error.

The college help us in getting internships at Dehradun district court and Nainital higj court. Apart from that they are some big law firms operating in Dehradun and every month they have some of the other seats reserved for students of our university.

Placements are quite good here like in law generally getting placed is tough in top National Law Universities too. So, in that regards 50% students getting placed is more than decent, I would say. Total around 20 companies including law firms and corporate houses made their way at our campus last year and out of 120 students that applied for placements, 55 of them got the placements.

One lakh twenty five thousand isnour fees for this year. Previous year it was one lakh twenty thousand. It has been on surge every year and this time the new batch that has come their fees is even higher than us. For lower categorybl students fees is less but not much less like in government colleges where they have to pay 10-20% of the designated fees.

ICFAI Dehradun lacks in this department as unlike other colleges where events are quite regular, here they are not much. Infrastructure though is amazing as we have some of the finest sporting grounds with a football ground where even grass and dugouts for players are built. The university has enough greenery to hide under the shade during Summers. So, on events and fests front it's a thumbs down but for infrastructure it's top quality.

I only applied for ICFAI Dehradun as it was my first and the last chocie. Admission process is simple as my CLAT rank was 4700 and therefore I became direct eligible for admissions here. Yes, an interview is mandatory but it's more of like a question and answer session than a proper admission interview.

Faculties are somebody with whom we can share anything and rub shoulders too. Their teaching methodology and acumen are such that one will always in be in awe of their teaching. My personal relationship with them have been good so far as they have helped me not just in studies but finding the right internships as well.
