Course Curriculum Overview
Franky I chose this course because I'm a CA student and I'm familiar to accounting and other subjects. Talking about preparation of real world, I don't think that majority colleges have a curriculum which does what it takes to prepare us. More practical learning should be encouraged. Frequency and timing of exams were fine by me. Difficulty level was not an issue because I was already familiar.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies offering internships, like CA firms, tech firms, etc with stipends ranging from 10k to 30k a month. Most of them involve the role of sales associates. They've 2-3 rounds of interviews before getting selected.
Placement Experience
Third Year students become eligible for campus placements. There's a different committee that deals with interviews, making CVs, etc. that help with interview process. Many companies like Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Tcs, etc make offers yearly. Average package offered for a B.com graduate is 1.5L - 2L.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fees for first year was around 27,000. The fees in SY and TY decreased as I was admitted in the aided division (secured for top 100 students by a merit list). Overall, the fee structure for SY and TY was pretty affordable as it had 2 certificate courses as well.
Campus Life
The college has many events and fests lined up like the annual Taarangan and Trishna. The library of the college has a vast range of books and periodicals available. Classrooms are decent and some professional courses have digital aids too. Sports, extra - curriculars and students groups are a highlight and USP of this college.
Admission
Got this college as i didn't make the cut for other colleges. This college is near my house so saved a lot of travelling time for my CA studies. Eligibility process for this college was quite simple. Cut offs were not very high for B.com. The overall admission process could have been better as the staff I faced was very rude and difficult to deal with.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is less as the college has a lot of students. Some faculties were really great and helped a lot while some didn't catch up to the mark. The college has a lot of students, passing the exams isn't too difficult or too easy and students are given a lot of chances through re-evaluations and numerous internals.
